Outstanding Time sitting at the bar in Jordan Street Cafe. Whatever the bartender is making that night is going to be on another... level. The good went well beyond what you would expect from your average local spot. If this place was a book, if woulddefinitely be a page turner. Although they have plenty of great local beers on tap, I feel like you would be missing out if youdon?t allow Oatmeal the Bartender fix you a cocktail. We needed a place for dinner in Brevard the other weekend and got a recommendation for Jordan Street Cafe. The food was solid,... but the prices were a little high for what was mainly counter service. I understand that everyone is short staffed these daysand are having to make changes to their service models... And I don't think the prices will keep me from coming back, I willjust have to plan accordingly. Everything was tasty, and the desserts were excellent! Overall a really nice experience. Read more
We highly enjoyed our dining experience at Jordan Street Cafe! There was a wait, but the staff was honest and attentive about... the timing and kept us well taken care of until we could order. Delicious!!!! We had shrimp and grits, trout, wrap and more and everything tasted phenomenal!! We got take out 2 nights in a... row! The hostess made sure one of the dishes had the sauce because she knows the back can forget it sometimes! She alsoverified we had the right amount of dishes. Had pesto with bread, chicken parm, and shrimp n grits. Pesto was okay. Needed more parmesan. Bread was excellent! The... chicken parm over cheese tortellini was the better dinner item of the two. My wife's shrimp and grits had over a dozen smokeytomatoes in it, and she wasn't impressed, leaving half of it behind. There are likely better places locally. It's now counterservice. Get your own water and tea. I'm ok with that, just informing others. Good beer selection. Read more
The wifey picked this place for our last dinner in our "escape from reality" trip, since she was craving steak, and we pretty... much tried all the establishments in Brevard that were open for dinner at this point. We had such a hit and miss experience sofar we were apprehensive. The initial impression was bad: they were on a service pause because the kitchen was backed up. Wewaited in their patio to figure out our next destination, and in the process we were told we could order! Woohoo! We promptlyordered an appetizer of bread and pesto, and our entrees. Mine was shrimp and grits. Their service model of counter serve wasnovel. They pretty much do everything you would normally expect except you have to get your own water/tea and utensils. Theystill serve you the food. Unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to par that Sunday. The inside looked and felt dirty. Dishesstrewn everywhere and the floor was visibly and literally sticky. The outside seating, on the other hand, was very pleasant andclean in comparison! The bread and pesto was strange. The sourdough bread and pesto made for a bad aftertaste combination. Itried the olive oil by itself and it was not particularly old or foul, but the bread made it taste bitter. Strange pairing. Asfor my shrimp and grits, it was EXCELLENT. Lots of shrimp and sausage, and the grits were super creamy and delicious. Greatdish! We had the pecan cheesecake and streusel for dessert, and they were also EXCELLENT. If you can overlook the staffingshortage, the hit or miss service and food pairings, and the relatively high prices, the food can be very rewarding. Wifeyenjoyed her rib eye plate very much also. The only complaint from my family was the burgers. They were tasty but so large you couldn't take a bite. The fish and chips was... really good! Very friendly service! Cute place! Read more
