Great ambience and terrific view of ocean in distance. Breakfast menu includes some very tasty French toast and pancakes and... the lattes are very good. Dinner menu is more limited but tasty - clam chowder was good and shrimp dumplings as well. Evenwhen breezy and cool at night they have nice spots with heaters going! Read more

Beautiful view, but that’s where it ends. Service was poor; slow and when appetizer and entrees arrived they were cold. My... daughter didn’t get what she ordered and I was served the wrong wine. Our server was not attentive and simply apologized forthe inconvenience when informed of issues. Read more

Views are spectacular. The aps we ordered were good. Most of the staff were friendly and smiling but not all look happy. They... seemed stressed. A happy bartender goes a long way in making an enjoyable time. Read more

I’ll start by recognizing that the restaurant was apparently in training mode for new servers and kitchen staff. That said,... there’s a lot of work to be done. Bar staff was slow and spent more time pouring wine than mixing cocktails to the point ourfirst drinks didn’t arrive until after our appetizers. Friendly server from Jamaica who is clearly new to waitressing, butfailing on the basics like serving over the left shoulder and not bringing out entrees until the appetizers are finished shouldbe the corrected immediately. The server literally took away plates as we were eating from them and reached across us to doit. The menu is unimaginative, small, and suspiciously devoid of local seafood options. The kitchen is reeeeallly into picklingthis season… like every single vegetable was soaked in vinegar brine… except the raw and undercooked asparagus that waspresent on two plates. Portions were huge, but were generally not flavorful - the shrimp risotto tasted like low tide, the flatbread underdone and underwhelming. The lamb was seasoned well, but half the order was undercooked. I’d give the disappointingOcean Terrace a pass, and hope for a better try next year. Read more

Setting is amazing, beautiful patio terrace. I thought the service was above average. Nice beer and drink list. I got the... beef tenderloin, it was good but not great. I thought they could’ve given more of the mashed potatoes and vegetables for themoney. The beer itself was an excellent cut of meat cooked the way I like it. I would definitely go back but I didn’t thinkit was the best food I had on my vacation to Ocean Edge last week. Read more

Food was OK. They have fresh squeezed orange juice on the menu for $5, it is not fresh squeezed. When I asked not to be charged... for fresh squeezed the manager informed me that “the chef considers it fresh squeezed since it is not pasteurized.” I wouldbet a good sum that it was not only pasteurized but also from concentrate. They would not take the charge off my bill for theallegedly fresh squeezed bottled orange juice. Also, they did not have lattes available when I arrived I had to wait for themanager to show up to open up the door to the espresso machine. I ordered coffee with cream while I waited for a latte, Ireceived coffee with milk. My daughter and I ordered pancakes and French toast, we initially got no syrup. When I asked forsyrup, we got one tiny half an ounce to share between the two of us. All this well below standard service for such an expensiverestaurant, $70 for breakfast for one adult one child. I gave the server a 20% tip nonetheless because this is clearly asystematic failing of management. Read more

Disappointing and overwhelmingly mediocre. With such an amazing setting and buildings that scream old world quality and service,... the Terrace falls far short or expectations for a great lunch spot by the sea. The food, especially the lobster roll leads thebelow expectations parade…utterly tasteless, undersized and overpriced at $32 - even though the online menu listed it at $26which was brought to the attention of the waiter. He checked with “management” who decided to enforce the higher price tag. What a missed opportunity to make a good impression by righting what was clearly a mistake on their part. The “house recipe”Veggie burger was large, but under seasoned and mushy….not very manageable in its bun or on the undersized plate on which itwas served. Service was fair…nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was pleasant- mostly from the extravagant, albeit steamyhot, outside setting. It’s a shame, really. So much unrealized potential in this grand old resort. Read more

Lovely location and course is exceptional. We had major issues with restaurant. Service staff was newbies all imported on H-1B... visas. Looked like majority of employees all foreigners and not local American high school or college kids. The spills anddropped food and trays and total incompetence showed little waitstaff training. This is a classy place and it's not cheap. Foodis awesome, though with the traditional higher-end pretentious small portions. We demand high levels of care in this atmosphere#Fail. Then we learned that entire facility does not pay their local taxes! They are years behind!!! These sob owners arestealing from local MA taxpayers just so they can milk some stupid, elites who don't care about America. Horrible! Our familywill never return. Read more
