A few months back I had the displeasure of visiting the Hudson Blue Crab House, I decided to take my wife and kids to this place... as we neared the end of our visit to East Hampton. The service was terrible as we ended up waiting over an hour for our foodeven though the restaurant remained empty throughout the majority of our meal. Once the food finally arrived I was hoping thatour long wait would pay off, but the food was mediocre at best. We left disappointed and angry and will never be going back tothe Hudson Blue establishment again. While I was writing this review I visited the Hudson Blue website which was filled withlazy stock images from online and seemed to be assembled by a toddler. After doing more research I came to discover that many ofthe 5-star reviews are written by the owners of establishment themselves played off as if they are actual customers. Thiscorruption is very disappointing to say the least. To conclude the review, Hudson Blue has terrible service, the food is averageat best, the building seems as if it is dilapidated, and the owners may possibly be corrupt by forging reviews as well as aterribly made website that seemed as if it was crafted by my 4 year old son. I will never be returning to this terriblerestaurant and I hope the fellow readers will heed my warning. Read more

Finally a real seafood/crab house in the Hamptons! I decided to give this new restaurant a try this past Saturday night, and... must say I was delighted with my choice. The operators of this new business gave the venue a fresh new look and tasty dishes togo along with it. My dining companions and I had to wait a bit longer for a table than expected - which was not a greatstart to our meal - but while waiting at the bar, we enjoyed unexpectedly good Sangria, as well as a margarita that hit thespot. And once seated, we found that the food had been worth the wait. The cold tower was delicious, as were the King Crab Legs.And my non-seafood-eating friend found her steak to be done to perfection! Didn’t get to try the fish tacos or fish & chips,but did catch a glimpse of these dishes as they passed, and they also looked good. I tend to shy away from pretentious Hamptonsrestaurants... so was pleased to find the staff warm and welcoming. That, along with very reasonable prices, has me lookingforward to my next visit! My husband & I had the pleasure of dining in this charming and unpretentious restaurant. From start to finish it did not... disappoint. The staff was warm and friendly especially the owner who was most attentive . Aside from the wonderful crab,check out the homemade guacamole and tuna poke. The bar mixes a fabulous margarita and martini. But don’t miss the extensivewine list. We look forward to returning soon and often. Read more
Terrific seafood restaurant. Very fresh shellfish despite it being off season. Staff was very attentive.
