Ordered nachos from here. Don?t waste your time and money. I usually order Nachos from La Mexicana on Fairfield Ave but I wanted... to try a different place. I ordered a tray of nachos for 5 people. No sour cream, 2 small containers of salsa, no avocado, meatwas scarce. Not to mention overpriced. I will continue ordering from la Mexicana which offers all this and reasonably priced. Read more
Wow.... how have I never been here before. I pass it all the time. I have to say, from the outside, it's not very inviting. ... Maybe they could use more windows so you can tell of they are open or not. I was going to Madison deli on the street, butdecided to pop inside Paraiso instead. So glad! Ordered a shrimp quesadilla, not in the menu, but most places I've found areaccommodating. I got the meal, which comes with rice and beans. I was gonna get a side of guacamole, but at $7, it was toorich for my blood. Figured I'd just enjoy what came with the meal. The inside is clean, quiet, you're not right on top of thenext table. I was getting mine to go, but they are offering dining in. My plate came to 17.50. Got home. Cracked it open. Avery decent portion. Heavy! I like that when I spend a lot! The quesadilla was on. The. Money! Fresh, ample shrimp. Gooeycheese. The rice and beans was tasty and fresh! Perfect texture of beans. And a fresh salad on the side with a sliced avocado. I was disappointed there was no guacamole, or even sour cream. Luckily I had my own dollop of daisy to add but I'll sadly haveto try the guac another day. Either way im writing this F-U-L-L. I will never travel to Mexico ever again in my life because real delicious outstanding Mexican food is right here at PARAISO... 1026 Madison ave. Bpt. I give 5 stars because PARAISO delivers superb food, wonderful servers and kitchen staff, extremely cleanfrom floor to ceiling, comfortable Mexican atmosphere and fantastic prices!!!! Parking can be a problem but its worth parking ablock or several blocks away. If you have never been to Mexico i suggest an experience inside this restaurant will give you ataste. The waitresses are very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and like most Latinas adorable! I am looking forward to mynext visit. Highly recommend!!! Read more
The owner and server are from Italy and both accommodating and pleasant. The food was tasty, -old style Italian dishes. We were... offered homemade Limoncello or Amaretto at the end of the meal, on the house. There was no rushing here, just a relaxedatmosphere with fine food. I will look forward to another visit there. Read more
Great authentic Mexican food at great prices. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and tastes great. The staff can... sometimes have language difficulties but the menu is simple enough to solve these problems, plenty of pictures and easy togoogle words. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican meal without too much American fusion ata great price. Read more
