I've been there a few times. The food isn't great, but bring your copy of "War And Peace". You'll finish it before you get your... food. --------------------------- January 2020 Fast service?. Great clam chowder????. Good Segrams 7 sour ????- no cherry ororange slice????. Or server, Ann, was quick, polite, and kept up with us well????. My off-menu special request wascorrect????. Good garlic bread????. She had the walleye, baked spud, and beans. They were all good????. I had the fisherman'splatter. The shrimp was good. The cod not so much, the blue gill was excellent!???? I'll probably come back again. I upgradedthe review three more stars especially for Ann. ------------- September 2022 Very fast service. We both had the walleye. It wasgood ????, well prepared and tasty. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce weren't. The calamari was OK, well prepared butflavorless. The mashed potatoes were awful. The walleye had a side of green beans and carrots which were done well. The spumoniice cream for dessert was a large portion and very good. Group of seven men in the dining area were loud, obnoxious, bothering other patrons and staff did nothing to quiet them. One of... the waitstaff inadvertently dropped a beverage glass full of beverage that splattered all over hitting myself and diningpartner. No apology offered by the waitperson who spilled the beverage. The shrimp dinner was over cooked. When I explained toone of the waitstaff our concern over the above all we received was a laugh. This was our second visit. The first one was enjoyable but last night not so much. We were asked if we had a reservation when we... arrived ( which we did not). The hostess said it would be 30 minutes but never put us on the list until we explicitly asked herto. Then, she said check w the other side to see if they had a table . We grabbed a drink at the bar and asked the hostess onthe other side and she seated us right away. She was very helpful. Once seated, we were never given water and several items weasked for were never delivered ( water, ketchup etc). By the time I received the beer I ordered with my meal I was done withsaid meal. I was able to let that go because it was busy and I?ve been a server- we all have those nights . However, when Ilooked at the bill ( that we were hastily handed without being offered coffee, dessert etc) after we left I saw my filet was $52( price wasn?t listed on menu). I am fine paying up for prime steaks etc. This honestly was something you?d by on sale at Jewel.It was prepared well but not great quality. I looked online and the filet was listed at $36 so I called to inquire which is wayout of character. The woman who answered asked someone else how much the steak was. She yelled back $49. I was still shockedbecause it was not a $49 cut of meat and my husbands blue gill, which looked much better, was $20. When I explained we had beencharged more she didn?t even apologize. She snapped and said what?s your address?. I?ll mail $5 back to you. Even when I was incollege in the hospitality industry, I knew not to be rude to customers. I could get over the overpriced, mediocre steak if thewoman was a bit less rude or service was decent . And, Im unsure why the price wasn?t listed. Maybe an off night, but Idefinitely won?t return. We stop here at 4pm right when they opened and the food was so good and the service was amazing. We had 4 adults and 4... children. We had bruschetta, mushrooms, salmon, lamb, sirloin steak, spaghetti, shrimp linguine and fried fish. Again makesure you make reservations but it was a great spot that we stopped at. My husband and I Went here last night and had an amazing experience. We had been wanting to try this place after being told... about it multiple times. We truly were not disappointed. Service was AMAZING. Even the hostess checked in on us to make surethings were going well. The food was delicious. I've been wanting calamari for a while now and was excited to see it on themenu. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. And we'll definitely be back. Read more
