We absolutely love La Estrella! The green chili is absolutely on point. You have the ability to order medium, hot and my... favorite, extra hot! The chili has large chunks of pork which makes it super delicious. The Chili Relleno bites, #9 (with extra???? chili) and a sopapilla - definitely a must try if you're traveling through Brighton. We ordered house frozen margaritas and water with our food. The water tasted like it had a lot of minerals in it. The food on... the other hand was great. We ordered Chicken Fajitas for one and an Indian taco with chicken. They ask if you want hot, mediumor mild for the green chilli. Read more
Very disappointed. We are from out of town and got food to go to take to our hotel room. Several issues with our order. 1) We... did not get the chips and salsa we ordered 2) Everything was cold by the time we got back to our hotel and it wasn?t that far ofa drive. 3) We got TWO tortillas for two meals. I don?t know in what world ordering carnitas and fajitas that you get twotortillas for two meals. 4) No napkins or silverware with the food. If you offer carry out you should include these. 5) Theportions were ridiculously small. We actually laughed. My husband said the portions he saw in the dining room waiting for ourorder were huge. You should give the same portions for every order whether it is to go or in house. 5) The flavor of the foodwas awful or should I say lack of flavor. I?ve never had such awful fajitas in my life. Absolutely tasteless and the meat had aweird texture. 6) Called the restaurant when we got to our hotel about the issues. She listened, put me on hold to get themanager. Manager wasn?t available. Took my name and number and I had to tell her the issues again. I have yet to receive a phonecall and now they are closed. Thankfully I did order wings as an appetizer and was able to eat 6 of those because everythingelse went in the trash. So basically $48 down the drain and since we are from out of town I?m sure nothing will be done aboutthis. I wouldn?t recommend this restaurant at all. I should?ve ate Chipotle with my kids. Do not go here if you are hungry hungry, been traveling all day, or kinda in a hurry! Service is SLOW SLOW SLOW! Food is so... so... But I can say one thing food makes you feel like your at home and grandma just got done in the kitchen but made withoutlove! Tastes bring back childhood memories! Plates looked slopped together but, The SALSA that is served with the Chips isDELICIOUS ????!!!! No spice once so ever but almost addicting! The food here is great. I would recommend eating in though because anytime I?ve ever ordered take out, I get significantly less... chili then when we eat inside. I?ve actually had to complain the first and check my food the second time and ask for extra. I?mnot being dramatic either lol, I?ll attach a photo of the potion of chili we got on our Togo order. Wanted something new so I looked in Brighton and found this spot. I had the #9 combo and it was delicious. I thought I was going... to be underwhelmed by a bean and beef burrito but the hot green chili sent it totally over the top. It was 8 degrees out so itwas just what I needed. The staff was great and the service was very fast, even though they were fairly busy. A little confusingentrance, but I'll chock it up to character. Omg. By far the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The restaurant was packed full of people having a great time and... enjoying their food. I got the #14 and it was awesome. The Chile Rellanos are crispy and fried to perfection. Not once did we gowithout empty drinks and we always had chips and salsa. I wish I got out waitresses name she was attentive and did a great job.I recommend this place to everyone. Read more
