Solid local spot. Been around forever, used to come here with my parents growing up. They’ve kept up the dining room well,... beautifully decorated for the holidays. Homey comfort food Italian food if that’s what you’re looking for. Good service, good food (just a little under seasoned on a few things but all well cooked). The stand out was the lemon butter sauced orzothat came with the walleye! Excellent wine list as well Read more

My husband and I ate here, and WOW! We loved the food! Everything tasted homemade, and this has quickly become my favorite... Italian restaurant. I wish it was closer to where we live! The staff took good care of us and even packaged our leftovers forus! Highly recommended!! Read more

We came here on our way up to Grand Rapids. We were sat outside on the most beautiful flowered patio. The wait staff was super... attentive and kind. Now on to the food! Calamari as our appetizer - delicious! Our entrees - out of this world! Their house madebreadsticks are quite a delectable treat. Fabulous lunch dining experience! Read more

Sat at bar and ordered two entrees to go. Hostess and Brandon (the bartender) were extremely inviting and provided great... service. I had a cocktail which was really nicely balanced. Unfortunately, the food was short of expectation. I got the scallopdish which despite being very nice quality and size aren’t seared properly and very oily. It’s clear the scallops arepartially seared then the majority of the cook is a butter baste method as if it were a steak (which ruined them). I’ve seenseveral reviews that shared the same feedback but it was recommended by staff as one of their best dishes. I was even more solet down by bacon spinach risotto that came with scallops. It was more like a dip you would bring to a super bowl party than arisotto. You could not even differentiate a single piece of orzo, it looked more like mashed potatoes (also mentioned in recentreviews). 3 stars for service, interior, and because the butternut ravioli entree was very nicely executed. Wish thehighlighted and more luxurious options delivered similar results. Read more

My wife, daughter, mother, and myself wanted to try a new place today and were hungry for Italian food. Love the inside and the... decor with the actors on the inside; that was really cool! The waitress we had was punctual and attentive to us, though shenever introduced herself. Also, it seemed to take too long to actually place our entree order. What I would assume was themanager, he never introduced himself either, helped remove plates and fill up our water and soda as well. We ordered 2appetizers, grilled octopus and bruschetta. Their website shows the grilled octopus is at a $16.99 price even though our menushowed $18.99. Now that I'm looking at the price online, I'm noticing our menu was at minimum, $3-4 more expensive on justabout everything! Unfortunately, for that reason alone, I am removing 1 star for my review. Chilled grilled octopus withboursin cheese, smoked paprika aioli, and garnished with fresh arugula and pickled onions. The grilled octopus was cooked justslightly too long as it was a little too chewy. The smoked paprika aioli that accompanied the octopus was absolutely deliciousand a perfect complement to the octopus! The bruschetta was a little of a let down as well. It is a sliced baguette topped withfresh basil pesto, stewed tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese, balsamic reduction. I absolutely love basil, and unfortunately I couldn'ttaste it all when it came to the basil pesto. The tomatoes tasted wonderful, but were possibly too many and just overpoweredthe rest of the dish. I wish the sliced baguette was grilled or toasted as it was soggy and limp upon arrival at the table! The mozzarella that was shredded on top tasted of a higher quality than like store brand cheese. The balsamic glaze was alsounderwhelming with the tomatoes as well. I got the veal saltimbocca as my entree. It wasn't a very photogenic meal so I didn'ttake a picture of it. It is veal scaloppine sautéed with extra virgin olive oil, white wine and sage topped Read more

Chicken piccata done well! This dish is how I measure an Italian Restaurant. If they cannot manage to make this properly, good... luck with the rest of the dishes on the menu! The lemon-butter sauce is simple enough to make if you know what you're doing! The difficult part is not breaking the butter. That happens when you add the butter to the pan when it's too warm. I asked for“extra sauce” and the kitchen sent me a small bowl of sauce with capers! Today we had a short wait before we could beseated because they were short-staffed. The kitchen and service were excellent. There were tables, but not enough people to waiton them. We started our meal with two appetizers, Tomato Basil Bruschetta and Fresh Burrata, served with marinated tomatoes,Kalamata olives, pepperoncini, croutons, arugula, and homemade pesto! O.M.G! The lasagna was perfect, layered high and thesauce authentic homemade but the Pasta Con Pollo was even more amazing. It is sautéed chicken and bacon tossed with spinach, penne pasta, fresh garlic in an Asiago cream sauce. If that wasn’t enough, it is topped with a fresh tomato relish! Thetiramisu was delicious, but the Crème Brule was the hit of desserts! With a perfect custard with a thick and crispy candy shellthat encapsulated the ramekin. Be patient and tip well because the people who showed up are the reason you're dining out! Ifyou have to wait a few minutes, trust me, they're doing their best to take care of you! Read more
