Food was delicious , took a bit longer to get our dessert than we would have liked, but it was deep fried????
I wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant, so after looking at the menus of a couple of new places, I decided on El Torro. The... menu looked delicious and I was looking forward to some authentic Mexican food. First off, the restaurant was nice, decorationand ambiance wise. However, our server, a middle-aged woman with a long ponytail, had a very sour attitude right off the bat. She was not friendly at all and seemed like she wanted to get us out of there as fast as possible. If I asked her for somethingshe acted as if I was bothering her. We ordered the jalapeno poppers as an appetizer, which were very tasty, although thelittle spat of guacamole on a pile of lettuce was pathetic. I ordered the enchiladas supreme with a side of rice and beans. The enchiladas were swimming in a platter full of nasty red sauce and the cheese they used to top them tasted artificial. Theside of rice and beans were bland and not complementary to the enchiladas whatsoever. I fished the enchiladas out of the redsauce soup and took them home, but ended up throwing everything out as it was even nastier tasting after being warmed up. Avery disappointing experience. The amount of food they serve you is ridiculous!! ???? I ordered Molcajete. It?s like fajitas in a bowl. AMAZING!! I couldn?t... stop eating! I?ll have leftovers for days. They also have a food truck we hit up at the Taco Fest in Royal Oak. Just as good andthe tacos are over stuffed with goodness. Same amazing taste!! Can?t wait to go back. Read more

Great Mexican food! Service is fast and place was clean. Wait staff constantly checks to makes sure you don't need anything... else. I love to munch on the chips and salsa while we wait for our food. They have hot sauces on the side to spice it up if youneed. I love the fajitas here! They include a side of refried beans, lettuce,, etc.. just look at the picture.. They also havedifferent flavors of Mexican pop. I tried the pineapple. It was good. Read more
The chef is excellent. The food tastes homemade by a very good cook. No tasteless side dishes. The use of spices is well... balanced. The chocolate and green sauces are wonderful! The serving staff is very attentive. Service times are very good. Roastbeef or roast pork like Sunday dinner. Read more
