Went here recently and sat outside upstairs. Loved the setting. My boyfriend is the sushi guy and wasn't happy that the tuna was... chewy and had white streaks in it, which means it's not the best grade of fish. He also said the sushi was warm and he expectedit to be cold. Appetizer portions are small. Shumai is tiny and gyoza is half the size of other places, but were yummy. The experience started so/so where the women who seated us was giving a bit of a time with seating 2 people with a baby, we... requested a bigger table for the extra chair an room for bags. Eventually we were seated at a bigger table. The shrimp anveggie tempura was great and had a light crunch but held together nicely & cooked very well. Honestly I've tried alot of themand here easily the best. The Kani salad was really good another item I frequently have. My fiance loved it and pointed outthat it not having a leaf of lettuce was better while I thought it needed the leaf so ur last few bites can roll it to a handroll. The sushi was better then good but not great. All the flavors where there but the sushi would not hold together. So weditched rhe chopsticks and went in with the all hands teams. The ideas and concepts behind the sushi were great and flavorsstood out. If they made the sushi more sturdy and not falling apart would be a 5 star place for me Service was absolutelyexcellent as far as our waitress and was great with our baby really the whole atmosphere on the deck was great and relaxing. Excellent sushi and Japanese noodle and rice dishes. Nice selection of saki and a couple cool cocktails. Great service! The view... of Bristol harbor from the outside deck is a treat as well. Read more
Great gem of a sushi spot in Bristol. Outdoor dog-friendly patio seating, and two levels of dining. The poke chips starter was... incredible, great flavor and textures dancing on my taste buds had me craving a second order. The rolls were lights out as welland left me so impressed to complete an outstanding sushi experience. 100 percent will have this in the monthly rotation. Yummm Read more
Baba is not just the best sushi in Bristol RI, it's also the best sushi in the Newport/Bristol area. The prices aren't even that... bad considering the quality of fish you get. The service never disappoints -- you get your takeout when they say it'll be ready-- and the in-house service is very good as well. I've had a surprise birthday party there and it was a wonderful memory. I lookforward to dining on their back patio overlooking the water with my family this summer. Read more

Our first time there. Great service that accommodate my husband and I with our baby boy. Drink are unique and well done. Lychee... martini is amazing ! Our waitress was so friendly and helpful with finding out what I can have based on my allergy. Theirsashimi is probably the freshest I have had in a long time! Read more
