This is one of the best Cape Verdean Restaurants we have ever eaten at. The owner makes you feel so Special and the staff are... very professional. Great customer service! I ordered a 16 pound Turkey/stuffing for Thanksgiving and let me tell you-it wasmouth watering. Not everyone can make a a good juicy Turkey but this place nailed it. Their food will make you want to comeback. It's so flavorful and filling. Just a fantastic spot for a special occasion or anytime. I will order again. The price wasvery reasonable as well. Amazing food, service and attention to detail. Highly recommend Luanda Restaurant!! Odete Read more

For starters it?s a bar environment with a Dj not a lounge , during day it?s a restaurant. The cover on this particular Sunday... night was $20 , kinda pricey . You have to wait in line for your turn to buy one drink, a beer is $7 , liquor with any juice is$22 , their pour is not 1.5 oz they just eye it . Mind you my friend is a DJ, heavy security presence it is Brockton after all,the bouncers are super friendly, the music is very lively dance floor is tight with many intoxicated Cape Verdean patrons , nodrama just dancing , women hang in clicks and grind hard on each other, they shoo men away . You have to navigate to get to theonly inclusive gender bathroom with is at end of bar on the dance floor. I had a good time despite the hefty cover charge for abar w a live DJ. The pour was weak too they charging nyc prices for weak drinks , also they charge you first prior to gettingyour drink, which was delivered 8 minutes after I ordered it . My review is honest and no filter , mind you I bartendprofessionally . The experience left me cheated truly however the music is upbeat with popular Cape Verdean vibe as well As hiphop songs . Fantastic food and very friendly staff! We had the fried yuca & pork (Mandioca com Torresmo) and the grilled octopus (Polvo... Grelhado) for appetizers, I had the seafood rice (Arroz de Marisco) as an entree. Everything tasted amazing, we can't wait to goback! Read more

Poor Customer Service; Rude Receptionist and maybe underage or untrained and not polite. They do not have a paper menu here, so... if you can scan a digital code, you can't be served and that seems discriminatory to me. My grandma did not have a phone to scanthe code and see tge menu, so we left! Can't go back there, but would file a complain with the city Nsi, Chicago Read more

This is a local black family owned restaurant serving Cape Verdean and Angolian authentic cuisine in the City of Brockton. I was... introduced to the cuisine by a native and i thoroughly enjoyed it and have gone back several times since. The meals burst withflavor and is fresh. It is NOT the pre-frozen stuff you get at other restaurants. These meals are prepared to order, so grab abeverage and relax. It will be well worth the wait. The service is great. Jason is very knowledgeable about the varioustraditional offerings. There are seafood offerings such as octopus, salmon, cod, shrimp, and conch. The traditional grilledchicken is a must try. The octopus cooked with olive oil is divine. But could be cooked in butter if you have an allergy toolive oil. They both ways were delicious. The meals are cooked mostly using olive oil and palm oil. There was even anopportunity to try a Mozambique sauce with certain meals. The 'traditional-traditional' meals do take a bit of time to prepare. It was recommend to make reservations for these selections. There is a great selection of traditional appetizers, beverages, anddesserts. There is currently a sign in the takeout area that says "50% of takeout wine." The menu prices are competitive. If you are looking for tasty CV food that is legit, then please keep it moving to Dorchester and see Cesaria's because Luanda's... isn't it. We went there on a whim, since we were close by in Brockton. We were seated before other patrons, but for some reasonpatrons that showed quite a while after us, were served well before us. After an hour and a half of waiting for our main course, our food arrived flat on taste and boring in flavor. The wings tasted like they were previously frozen, the steak and chickenwere dry, and the fish had no seasoning. For a healthy kick in the pants on our way out the door we were given this bill asdessert. For the quality of food served in-conjunction with bad service, the bill was almost laughable. Not to mention the menudidn't even have the prices listed. After speaking with a staff member we were given a modest discount as compensation for ourinconvenience and 2 hours of time wasted. (20% waived) I don't expect any restaurant to prepare food like my grandmother, however I do expect my food to be delivered quicker than 1.5 hours of being seated, as well as quality matching price point. Please take a look at the photo and explain to me how that steak is $28? That's not even a rib-eye. You'll never see me thereagain. Read more
