Great place in the city island area! Calamari was very fresh and tender and the veal francés that I tried was exceptional.... Atmosphere is good overall, but a little too dim lighting for my taste! Service was great! Also has available parking but it?spretty tight and kind of limited. One thing to note it being a seafood restaurant and located in city island the fish smell wasa bit intense as you walk in but nothing that would ruin your dining experience. Read more

Went here with my husband. Appetizers - clam chowder, fried calamari. It was good not the best we?ve had but pretty... good. Drinks - frozen mango mojito - really good! Everyone of our entrées were cooked to perfection, add to perfectly seasoned, and large portions, attentive staff and great... service, our wonderful waitress Esha made our trip from Bensonhurst Brooklyn worth the trip. We had mentioned that someone atthe table was celebrating a birthday, she made sure to sing happy birthday as she brought her dessert to the table. Overall itwas an amazing experience. Read more

Where can I begin, does mediocre even begin to give you a sense. I chose Artie's over other City Island eateries expecting a... better quality meal than Tony's or Sammy's but didn't get what I paid for. The clams oreganata needed more flavor, garlic andlots more oregano, I've made them better at home. The Manhattan clam chowder was probably the best part of the entire meal. Thegarlic bread resembled those 25 cent mini heros you get in the supermarket; it was small, dry, flavorless and just plain sucked!The frozen garlic breads are way better. I should've brought Texas toast in my pocket. Now for the meal. The Surf N Surf cameout with an overcooked, rubbery lobster tail and a bland tasteless ensemble of what they called shrimp scampi. The red potatoeswere the tastiest part of that dish. My dish was the broiled snow crab clusters with corn on the cob and french fries. It wasadequate. The waitress was somewhat aloof and failed to refill my soda on several occasions but did remember to add each requestto my bill. She needs to retire, I don't know if it was dementia or a lack of interest. In any event, you get the picture. Forwhat I paid I could have eaten lobster and steak at the Capital Grill or the Palm. The food and staff are beyond at this establishment! We hosted a small baby shower there and everything was phenomenal. Laura... was a please to deal with when talking about details and very responsive. Jose aka the Real MVP (so attentive to the guests andalways checking in to see what we needed). I would absolutely recommend hosting a small gathering there. They have their ownparking lot. The room to the side had a seperate door so guests could leave and return out the same door. To be honest, wecouldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Read more

I came in with my wife I ordered the 30oz porterhouse steak and my wife got the Surf & Turf. Both steaks were cooked to... perfection (medium). Our waitress Mallory was amazing and made sure we were ok the entire time, she made us feel comfortable andwelcomed. I rate her 5 stars in customer service.
