I dined here this evening for the first time and I’m happy I did. The staff was very friendly and accommodated me without a... reservation. I had the T-Bone steak with a house salad & grilled asparagus. Everything was fantastic! My waiter, Teddy, wasvery attentive and friendly. Had such a great time. Came on a Saturday and Marcus was our server. He was super prompt and attentive . He was very helpful and... just all around great. I was invited to dinner @ Jake’s Steakhouse. I read the reviews today, after eating there last night. I / we must have gone at... a bad time or the cook simply gave out the leftovers of the day. The entrees were decent, even tho I’ve had better lamb chops@ Yankee Stadium. It was the appetizer & sides that were under seasoned, very dry & the napkin that some how ended up in themashed potatoes that really got to me. I've given this place 5 stars because the service was immaculate. From making reservations to the actual dine in service; they... were very friendly, accommodating and professional. THEIR ENTIRE STAFF IS BEAUTIFUL. I ordered the skirt steak and it was verytender. My son ordered the seabass and loved the buttery texture and how flavorful it was. My daughter ordered filet mignon andloved how fun the onion decoration looked on top and my husband ordered the chops. However, he didn't like the mustard sauce,but ate their overly sized thick chops. It was my son's 21st birthday and he ordered his very first drink at the bar. They weremagnificent helping him out. ???? I highly recommend them because this is the type of experience that one hopes for when diningout. Our $75.00 steaks came out cold...all sides were mediocre and cold. I was shocked that a lazy head chef would send this out to a... patron. I thought I would try a local eatery. I was horrified !!....Nothing compares to ** Peter Luger steakhouse in Brooklyn..both presentation and service is stellar @ Peter Luger... I will not return to Jake's ever... What a waste of my money....Friendly wait staff but that's it ...the food was awful... Sorry you missed your mark.... Thank God there are other choiceselsewhere !!! Read more
