I was in dump a couple hours ago. Walked in to take out counter to get a salad to go. Stood at counter for 5 minutes with not... one person acknowledging me. There were two waitstaff on the floor with a few sitting customers. Neither one even botheredto....who cares...left...never go back. Read more

Has definitely gone downhill. Last two take out orders for breakfast were terrible. Arrived to pick up at exact scheduled time... today. Ordered the Homestead Family Breakfast and TicTacToe French toast. Ice was completely melted in the drink. French toastand sausage were stone cold. Scrambled eggs were super dry and one big clump (omelet like), just gross. While they give agenerous portion of bacon, they were all overcooked and stuck together, also cold! Even the sausage gravy was disappointing,mostly huge chunks of sausage and it sat so long it became watery. The only nice thing I can say about this meal were thebiscuits. Shameful. Read more
My food was edible but my hash browns were cold I think they just warmed them up and gave me everything else fresh. My waitress... only noticed her guest that were white, I thought I was just over reacting but the customers who arrived after me, whom werewhite were asked if they had a seating preference and where they actually preferred to sit. Extremely disappointed. I ordered the breakfast steak meal. Asked to have only one egg and the server said I had to have 2.... Asked for it poached but they don't do that so she offered basted. I said ok. Eggs were fairly well cooked. Asked for steakmedium pink and it was medium well all through. Good flavor but dry. Per menu meal comes with a choice of 3 breads. I asked fordinner rolls per menu. She stated they weren't ready yet. Maybe in 5 mins. It was already 11 am. I said I'd wait. The realproblem was with my daughter's meal. She ordered a breakfast bowl of sorts with scrambled eggs and substitute with Americancheese. She also ordered a side of sausage gravy. The food came out timely but the plate was dirty on the edge. She dug in witha fork and out came a thin piece of something clear, shiny, narrow and about 3 inches long. It looked like plastic and stretchedwhen pulled on. She said ok as she didn't want to be a problem. We thought it might be plastic from the cheese wrapper. Then shetried for another forkful and got another similar piece. Now we both have years of experience in restaurant food prep, managingand serving. I examined the pieces again and convinced her to send it back. The server, Mo, was very nice and understanding. Shegot the manager, Sandra. We explained the situation and she took the pieces of "plastic" and continued to debate what it was.She said she's seen this before and it is egg yolk strands from the grill. We explained her eggs were scrambled and the pieceswere clear, shiny, smooth and stretchy. She proceeded to pull apart the pieces, disregarded our concern and insisted it was fromthe grill. My daughter, thoroughly disgusted being served questionable food on a dirty plate and now having to debate themanager, told her she didn't want this or anything else and to credit her purchase. Bob Evans is.. was.. and always will be a fantastic place for breakfast. I could literally survive on the cheddar baked potato... soup alone... Just like any other Bob Evans this place was decent quality... even though our waitress was from 1862 and moved ata turtle's pace, she was sweet, well-mannered and smiley.... Bless her beautiful, little, old lady heart ???????? But, when gothome... The Bob Evans food gave my lady a tummy ache and she threw-up a tiny bit... So I'm taking away a star for the aftereffect of the Evans cooking.... Read more
Turkey was moist, stuffing could have use more sage and onion. Mashed potatoes were nice and light. Rolls dried out quickly... because of the fan. The silverware had pieces of old food on it. We ordered the cinna biscuits and they were not cooked all the way. And the amount... of hash browns they gave was so little like wow. And our waitress could of been more friendly. Read more
