My meal was 20$ and some cents. Fried fish nuggets with a side of calm chowder and lobster Mac and cheese and a soda. The fried... fish nuggets were so tender and juicy and the lobster Mac was a great blend sure taste of garlic for flavor. Awesome food! Always super fresh and delicious!!! ???? An absolute staple if you're looking for a seafood fix! Such a great... spot, fast service whether you're getting food at the restaurants or to go! Plus they've got a bunch of other options on themenu! Ordered the giant seafood platter: haddock, clam strips, whole belly, scallops, shrimp, fried and onion rings. Every bite was... fresh, crisp and perfectly battered. Pure joy in each bite. I warned up 1/2 of the platter the next evening and found it allheld the flavor and crispiness. And service was exceptional and fast. Who could ask for more? Brava Clam Box. Read more

Update: since my first review I have been back to The Clam Box twice. Both times were excellent. I had my first lobster roll of... the season there. Since then I?ve had two others in other places which have been very good, but The Clam Box lobster roll wasthe best. Their onion rings are incredible. My latest trip was to get ice cream, which was out of this world. Don?t miss thislocal treasure. I never cared for this place because I thought the food wasn?t that good. My family told me that it changedhands several years ago and the food was greatly improved. So on this trip to visit them I stopped in and had lunch. Wow! What adifference! The food is now fabulous. I had the seafood platter. Everything was perfectly fried, light and crunchy. The servicewas excellent and friendly. Kudos to the current owners! Read more

My first time there and not inky was the food worth the hour and 10 minutes drive, but the service was great as well. My... favorite 2 things were the clam strip basket(the pint of course) and the Cole slaw, and I'm super picky about how my Cole slawtastes!! This was my Boothbay dinner celebration, late but who cares and I am going to recommend the Clam Shack to everyone Iknow and will definitely make the trip again when I'm craving my clam strips!!
