Meal was very good . Prices not bad at off the 55 menu. Had steak and mashed potatoes. Very tender

Exceptional service and great food prep and presentation! We were very surprised at the quick service time, not waiting and food... arrived quickly. Place was very clean, great lighting and server attentiveness was awesome. We had very poor and bad experiencewith the location in Bismarck and we swore never to go there again but we were late to dinner and most places had closed so wedecided to try the Perkins here in Brookings and were not disappointed. Yes, I know it's a busy diner but please cooks please put butter or oil down on griddle when cooking hashbrowns. All three of... ours was dry and stale couldn't bite into them. Our waitresses she was good, she did get my disabled sons replaced and wasn't afull order of hashbrowns either. We were only in town for daughters volleyball game but we won't be back to this Perkins. Read more
not a place I would suggest at this time or since covid. always new staff, always remaking your order even soda from a machine... was messed up. menu items were made wrong and under done. per manager they were training new cooks that evening. over 45 minutewait for omelets with hashbrowns and a pre-made muffin. after it all and being nice about the food and drinks the temperaturewas in the 60s so we were huddled together to stay warm. management did not compromise on any thing when it came to the billeither. we will not visit that restaurant ever again. Meal was fine, waiter struggled and should have had help. Ordered dessert, my husband got his and I waited and waited. Finally... asked and waited said he would get to it then I watched as he did everything but. Cancelled the dessert and the manager statedthat if he subtracted the dessert it would be more than if he just left it on the bill. They want us to pay more money for lessservice. Waitress was fine. She did her job and was nice. Ordered food and one of their specials came SWIMMING in a syrup / brown sugar... mixture that was WAY too sweet. So much that the eggs and bacon on the side were drowning. They said they were out of thepotato soup. After ordering something else, turns out they don't even have it on the menu anymore. I heard 2 other people TRY toorder it while we were there. Why would you get rid of such a good option? After they got rid of the BBQ chicken sandwich, thesoup was the only thing bringing me back. Unless I get dragged there, they've lost me. And if anyone else loved the Potato Soup,it's printed on the menu, but they won't have it. Read more
Nice environment unfortunately the server cannot complete check duties within the table setting, this drastically reduced... gratuity but nevertheless the service was good Read more
