Food is always good, wait staff always pleasant, but the mixed drinks need lots of work. They definitely are not measured or... mixed properly. The Jack Daniel's does not taste like Jack Daniel's at all. Aside of that, I would recommend this place. It isoverall a good establishment. Read more
Awesome spot to stop at in Brooklyn. 15 minutes from the state park and they have a good draft selection. Went with three people... and everyone?s food was excellent. The pizza was awesome and my buddies rueben was the best he said he ever had. My brother gotthe pulled pork nachos and said they were great as well. Overall, very good. Worthy of a return trip. Good service, good food (with one exception). We visited on a Monday night a... little after dinner time and business was brisk. We sat on the sidewalk and were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, with theexception of the occasional loud vehicle. It was nice to be able to talk without a lot of background noise and watch thegoings-on on the boulevard. Our server was awesome ? fast and friendly. The ?Five Alarm? burger was great; cooked and servedas-ordered at the right temperature, with the condiments I asked for and a delicious pretzel bun. Certainly not an importantpoint, but the spice/heat level on this burger didn?t seem that high. For the name, maybe consider spicing it up a bit. Macsalad was good, the cole slaw was decidedly meh, and both were served in very small portions (disposable condiment cups). No onein our party had the kettle chips so maybe that would?ve been a better option. Not sure if the absence of fries is a choice or aconstraint of the kitchen equipment but adding fries, maybe even sweet potato fries, would be a nice upgrade. I also had twoUpper Hand beers from the respectable beer list and both were served quickly, ice cold and in a nice clean pint glass. Loadedpotato skins were also very good ? perfectly cooked and tasty. Unfortunately, the Reuben one of our party ordered was poorlydone. The beef was riddled with far too much fat and gristle ? super gross and roughly half inedible. I get that corned beefwill have some marbling but, knowing a little about it, I can say that this was well over the line; definitely something thatneeds to be corrected. Good burgers. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of beer on tap.
Food was very good. That being said dont sit in the back they leave the door wide open and it gets cold. Expect to wait a bit... for your food to come. Also it may not be correct when it arrives. Read more
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade! I found myself at Shady?s for the first time for a first date, where I was apparently... being stood up? Turns out, I got a pretty cool bar discovery out of it!! Rodney & his team were absolutely warm & welcoming tothis first timer!! I ordered a beer to start and after a given amount of time I broke down and ordered the nachos. I loved thatthe lettuce & cheese were fresh! A rarity nowadays. The meat was seasoned beautifully! Stopped in on a Friday after lunch time during a girl's weekend. At first our server had a bit of an edge, but that was short... lived and she ended up being very knowledgeable and attentive. Food and drinks were excellent. I would recommend the BloodyMary, the Pina Colada made with rum chata, and the wings with the dry rub seasoning. Excellent! Read more
