I called ahead for takeout. They forgot my egg roll despite going over my order being paying. The broccoli in garlic sauce... was...fine. the chicken lo mein was extremely greasy and tasted way too fishy. The chicken itself was slimy and chewy andquestionable. I have been a customer for over 10 years. The food is ALWAYS well made and the prices are fair. Asking for changes to combos... (veggie fried rice instead of white rice -or- Spring roll instead of egg roll...) is always greeted with “sure, no problem”. The Sesame Chicken is outstanding! They deliver promptly in all kinds of weather. Now that Winter is here, I highly recommendthe chicken rice soup or chicken wings with fries to warm you up (and get over annoying things, like forgetting to charge yourphone, close talkers, etc). This is not a dine in restaurant. Have been ordering from TASTE OF ORIENTAL SINCE FOREVER now called A1 Chinese food. The menu... is new and I suspect so are the crew. Ordered fried rib tips with fries. Meat was like rehydrated jerky. The sauce that I lovedwas flat and not nearly enough. Ordered a lunch special of roast pork lomein with roast pork fried rice and a soda. This too,almost always a go-to for me.. The rice was overcooked and Flavorless, honestly no taste whatsoever. The lomein was limp thin and the only discernable flavor was a bit of pepper. I have been eating their food since the 80s. I've had some orders that werenot up to par on occasion, but I have Never called to complain. The order time was around 12:30, delivery time was fast. I amover 60 and did not want to go out in the cold as I have asthma. Let me tell you. I got dressed and walked the 4 blocks and gota refund for the food no problem there,, but no warmth or a nod of an apology. I will keep an eye on future reviews but afterthis order will have to look elsewhere for my Chinese food fix. Makes me sad.. Read more
