Terrible experience. Ordered a veggie roti but got a roti loaded with tofu. Only vegetable in the roti was a little spinach,... along with 2 pieces of potato and the sauce. They refused to exchange or refund because I had opened the roti! They were rudeand basically blamed me for ordering the wrong thing when it?s their fault that they consider coagulating soy milk to be avegetable. Incredibly, they preferred to lose a customer rather than make this right. Won?t patronize this business again! Read more
Once upon a time you were able to get great food and good service. Now all you get is day old refrigerated curry, and rude... workers. They also have a no refund policy which is against moral and ethicals which they can be sued for. All they take is cashto hep protect them in this loop hole. I would give zero stars if I could. Would be a five...the roti itself was good..maybe a lil more seasoning in the curry chicken. Now I haven't been here in... yearsssssss and you mean to tell me there still hasnt been a second step built outside? As I stand and watch the elderlystruggle to step up and down. Add a step!!!! I ordered the fish for my lunch. They put it in a platter and ket the roti on the side. I think the fish was thr best choice... from what my other coworkers ordered. It was crispy and sweet. The lentils were excellent to soppy roti in. I wish they servedmore veggies instead of the multiple starch items. Read more
I?ve been eating at Ali?s since the early 90?s and there food and service is great. I chose them to cater food for an event... that I had and they truly DISAPPOINTED me. I placed the order a week prior to the event and paid in full. My pickup time wassupposedly to be at 2pm. I arrived at 2pm and they told me that the order wasn?t ready to come back in an hour. I went back at3:25 just to give them time and the order still was not ready. Being an hour and a half late set me back and made me late to avery important event! My first try at Trinidadian specialties. Overall a good experience visiting this restaurant. I ordered Doubles with Chana and a... Wrapped Veggie Dahl Puri. The doubles were good in flavor, but my favorite was the Dahl Puri. The size is massive! Therestaurant does get busy, specially in lunch time. I ordered in advance through Seamless. Good food.
