I have mixed feeling about how restaurants responded to the pandemic. The focus on takeout and efficiency was probably necessary... but changed the way restaurants operated and I’m not always a huge fan. But wow… Avlee seemingly found a way to switch to amostly delivery-based model and the food is SO good, they deliver lightning fast, and their prices are pretty reasonable for theneighborhood. They have become my hands down favorite place to order delivery from in the area. Read more

4.5/5. Everything was pretty good. The serving sizes were larger than expected! Beer options were questionable. (No coors).... Service was good, especially for being in the back yard. Read more

I’ve eaten all around Manhattan & BK and Avlee hands down has the BEST grilled whole Branzino. For $25 with their delicious... side salad, it’s my husband and I’s favorite healthy weeknight and affordable dinner. Arrives scorching hot wrapped in thetin foil it was charred grilled in. Add their lemon potatoes & toasted pita bread while you’re at it. You won’t bedisappointed. Read more

Delicious. We have been getting takeout for months here and loved it every time but for the first time we ate in the restaurant... and we were so pleased! The chicken is amazing, juicy and full of flavor, the pork chop makes me hear angels sing, and theFrench fries will be deducted from your share in paradise. We are going to have to go in for just desert one time because wenever have room. O and the Spanikopita is magic. Read more

Been wanting to come here for the longest, particularly to see what all the fuss is about. Authentic Greek food at its finest.... Chicken Souvlaki, freshly cut tomatoes and cucumbers and lettuce was fresh. Had side order of lemon potatoes which were justsensational and a side order of lamb gyro, also delicious. It’s a TEN all around with exception of one small infraction- thepita bread consists of dairy! No other Greek restaurant that I’ve been to serves pita w/ dairy in it. Wasn’t too fond ofthis but everything else was excellent as per the photos and I’ll def be returning. Lastly, customer service and attentivenesswas above par! Read more

While on a walk, we went past Avlee Greek Kitchen and paused to read their menu. While standing there, a customer who had just... eaten told us emphatically that it’s the best Greek food he ever had- that intrigued us so we de used to skip the leftovers athome and try Avlee! Best decision ever. This menu includes classic dishes like souvlaki, falafel, etc. but it also introducesmore unique Greek offerings. The quality of the food, generous portions and sides, and fast service were all extremelyappreciated. Their menu also indicates which items they get from the nearby Carroll St. Greenmarket. Can’t wait to go back, and if we see any deliberating people looking at the menu, we’ll let them know that this really is the best Greek food you canfind in Brooklyn! Truly the best falafel I’ve had (tender, flavorful, and served more as discs), and tzatziki was perfect.Thank you! Read more

Fresh food. Most was super tasty. We ordered a half chicken, a lamb shank, and grilled halloumi, which were all delicious. The... romaine side salad was basic and good. However, the lemon potato’s and the lentil and artichoke side dishes were both prettybland. The pita was also not great, but decent enough. Staff was friendly but obviously they needed one more server. We sayoutside in their backyard, simple and pleasant. I’d return for sure. Read more
