Quality sushi in NYC that are not overpriced? You don?t want to miss it. The food quality is amazing, ingredients are fresh,... made by very experienced sushi master, and rice are great ? rice quality is often overlooked by sushi restaurants in NYC. Thedecor is also very nice and cozy, and being able to see the master working in front of you is such an authentic experience. Read more

I had a great lunch quickie at Daigo. actually it was a standing one as there are no seats, its sort of a standing bar. Two... handrolls and a Miso soup. Outstanding. at $15. The rolls were fresh, the rice was great. The seaweed wrapper wasoutstanding. I had worse and paid more at some fancy Omakase restaurants. It wasn?t a standing quickie though ???????. Read more

Located just off of 4th Ave on Carroll St, this little sushi spot has proven to be one of the best in the neighborhood. Nothing... "fancy" and over the top, this sushi let's the fish shine versus typical places that cover with various sauces. When we firststarted going here, we had no idea it was the same restaurant as the one in Dekalb Market. The prices are very affordable, forsushi standards, and well packaged in thoughtfully designed boxes to go if you don't eat on site. There's at least a dozen, ormore sushi restaurants around this area, however this has become our go to for consistent quality without trying to mask flavorswith sauces. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well and a very clean establishment. Eating on site, you don't have to waitlong as the sushi is prepared quickly by the master sushi chef. Read more

Disappointing as of late? We?ve been ordering sushi exclusively from Daigo since 2020, and we?ve consistently ordered the same... items: salmon avocado rolls, spicy tuna rolls and miso soup. Unfortunately, today?s order completely missed the mark. We werefirst surprised by the change in packaging - which once was all paper and branded is now cardboard and plastic, even the saucesizes have been reduced. The miso soup was totally different - last time it was full of tofu and flavor, today it taste like itwas from a paste I could find at the grocery store. Lastly, and the biggest disappointment was that the size of the rolls wasdrastically reduced and very uneven. Read more

Daigo is a small, quiet, intimate place to enjoy some reasonably priced, quality sushi. We had dinner here before our show at... The Bell House. Didn't get any pictures of the handrolls but they were so yummy we just kept ordering more. My favorites werethe yellowtail and spicy salmon. The daigo bowl (pictured) was also very fresh. Would definitely return. Read more

Cute vibes in the restaurant. I had the lunch special which was two sushi rolls and a miso soup for $13. The miso soup was super... watered down, borderline drinking hot water. The rolls were nice, I had a veggie roll and a vegetable roll. Could have been morehearty. Used single-use plastics for ginger and soy sauce which was really unideal. Also used disposable chopsticks. Moresustainable options would be better. Read more
