Decently priced Asian Fusion food with an in-house cat and dog for company ????
We saw a great review on Facebook foodie group about Dashi Brooklyn and decided to give it a try. Their decor is wide-spaced,... bright and relaxing with cozy ambiance and beautiful garden. There are decent options in their menu and we got their Rib Tips,Market Salad, Dashi Curry with Karaage and Salmon Bowl. The portion was huge with a reasonable price so we didn’t finisheverything and had some leftover to go. The taste was not authentic but impressively delicious, especially the juicy grilledsalmon. We also love the rib tips since I enjoy biting bones more than the meat itself. We won’t recommend their karaage, itwas kind of dry and chewy. We were a little disappointed that they don't have high chairs for babies which might not be a goodplace for family. Read more
1 star for the free drinks since our food never came. Another star for the cute cat. No stars for the food I never got to try.... The waitress was sweet but should of communicated from the start about how short staffed they were. If they were honest then wewould of have looked elsewhere as we had somewhere to be. The manager never came out to speak to us… not okay. I’ve workedin the food industry and understand what it’s like being short staffed but communicating is key. Read more
I was specifically in the mood for Japanese curry and this was the nearest spot open late on a Sunday. I ordered at the bar and... ate it outside. I'll be honest, I was in the mood for more of a homestyle or street style curry but what they serve here isreally good too. The texture is more on the thinner side. As you can see in the photo I ordered the beef. (Not pictured is thecurry, I hadn't poured it in yet.) Beef was delicious, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I'll be returning. Read more

Dashi is a new Bushwick gem! Cute, comfy interior with delicious comfort food from the team behind Rooster Boy (Smorgasburg). We... came for brunch and everything was super tasty. Their famous fried chicken sandwich was a must for me, but we also split the pho(heavenly broth!) and the delectable yuzu pancakes. Will be back for brunch soon; very happy to have this affordable anddelicious option in the neighborhood. Read more

I usually don’t eat in due to time constraints but today I took an opportunity to settle down and eat in. This rating is... based on a long history of ordering takeout from Dashi combined with my actual dining in at the physical restaurant. I’veordered a lot of menu items and can say that the quality is often high. From the curry to the pho, I’ve never been trulydisappointed. Great for casual eating. Read more
