We were visiting from California when we visited El patron. We almost went more than once while we were in new York. Great... atmosphere, great staff, the food is unbelievably delicious, the mole incredible and I really wish I could have got them to jarup the salsa and start a monthly subscription delivery. The shockingly rude owner lets the kitchen team down and ruin the experience. I found the food to be enjoyable but the owner's... treatment was absolutely poor. He was confrontational on top of being unprofessional. We were outdoor seating and it was a+90° day so we requested more water to drink, he told us that he's the one paying for the water while we drink for free, eventhough we were paying customers eating the food. One of my friends who's a vegan unwrapped her burrito mid-dining anddiscovered a piece of meat. She brought it to his attention to be taken out of the bill and she refused to eat anything else. Hetold her that she should've stopped eating from the first place (burrito was wrapped?). And when she felt very uncomfortable,upset and couldn't look at his face while stating her case, he told her to look him in the face while talking to him. Cherry ontop? When we paid as quickly as we could so that we could get out of this place, we waited for our ride share service on thestreet. He told us to move away to clear the sidewalk. The service was great but the food was ehhhh I got the three tacos the meat was good but wouldn?t order it again. My friend got... the burrito bowl which was way better. Came with salsa and chips. Prices in my opinion were kind of expensive 6 dollars forrice and beans imo is so expensive for the amount they give. Read more

The place is cozy and decor attractive. The food was decent, meat excellent, portions gigantic but somehow it didn?t quite work... for us. Bloody Mary was straight horrible. When it first came out it was so salty that if most likely contained a weekly amountof recommend dose of sodium. It soon turned out it was to mask the lack of alcohol in the cocktail. Our server was kind enoughto bring us complimentary shots but we made a mistake of mixing those into the drinks instead of downing them straight up. Itdidn?t go well. Now we had super salty drinks. This place is close to home and it?s the perfect place to go for lunch or dinner. The settling makes you feel like you?re in a... different place. On Chilly Monday night, I decided Mexican food was a good idea. I wasn?t impressed with El Patron. Will I come back? No.... Service was fast. Food came out quickly. So what was the problem? The food is a little bland for my taste. The reason the placegot 4 stars from me was quick, friendly service, and large portions of food. Moving from the south I?m just use to a little moreflavor. This place in my opinion is great for maybe a date night or hanging with friends. It?s usually packed on a Friday andSaturday night so you have try it for yourself. Good place right off the train station serving you tacos and shrimps. Good shrimp seasoning and love the grill taste, tacos were... grilled too and the green sauce is amazing. Avocadoes r great too. My friend love their fried burrito(not shown). Fresh salad. Read more
