Fell into this place for a cocktail and appetizers on a recommendation and oh my gosh this place is so much more!!! Super cool... ambiance, super delicious food, unique cocktails and spectacular service. This place is fun, and inspired by so many differentinfluences - Latino, Italian, Roma. Great place for brunch! We didn't need to wait at all for a table. The venue was quite spectacular, an old warehouse converted... into a spacious restaurant decorated with plenty of plants and cute tables. The food was quite speedy and delicious. Iabsolutely LOVED the halloumi fries, which are quite difficult to find in the States. Lightly battered and warm melt in themouth of goodness. As far as natural aesthetic and vibes go, this place is one of the best. The inside of Fandi Mata is beautiful filled with tons... of plants and exquisite architecture. It really feels like a tropical oasis in the city. The food quality is just as good asthe vibes. We ordered the brunch pizza, French toast and shakshuka- all of which were incredible. The sauce in the shakshuka wasparticularly tasty and full of flavor. I also had the best espresso martini of my life here. Unfortunately I did have to removea star because we were told we would have 90 minutes at our table but the host kicked us out after 60 minutes which wasunacceptable. They should have communicated that before seating us at the very least. Read more
This place us a WHOLE vibe. In love with the plants and interior design as well as the high ceiling and disco ball. The food... was delicious, this time i went i tried the chicken, croquettes and the burger. It was me and my friend and we spent about $40each. Read more
I’ve been to Fandi Mata for brunch twice and have had different experiences. The first time the service was impeccable and... well paced. The second we didn’t get our orders taken until 25 minutes after our reservation started, we didn’t know who ourserver was until I finally made eye contact with someone to take our order, and the table next to us which was seated andordered after us got their food (which had some of the same dishes) before us. However, once I brought this up to the staff theychecked with the kitchen and brought out our orders very quickly. There seemed to be some confusion on what had already beensent out. They also continually checked on us after to make sure we got the remaining items we ordered. I think despite the messup they handled it well. The ambiance and overall aesthetic is great, it’s such a bright and warm space with so many plants.The portions are very large for the price point in the area (Greenpoint) and the food itself is delicious. I would generallyrecommend coming here since the first experience I had was good and it seemed like only our table experienced a mishap while wewere there. I do want to come back for dinner when you can order from the mezcalaria. Also their Nutella calzone is amazing. Read more
Went here with a couple of friends before a night out in Brooklyn and was so impressed. First things first, the vibe inside is... phenomenal. Live music, amazing decor, and dark and moody but in the best way. I’m pretty sure I fell in love with the girlsinging on stage. The espresso martini hit perfectly, the watermelon salad is a MUST if it’s in season, and the Croquetas areincredible. I went with the Burger which was also great. 100% recommend for a date night or company dinner as the space is hugeand there’s a mezzanine level. Read more
