Not the best food, but if your in need of some Caribbean food with no other option give them a visit.

I?ve been supporting this business for years and i really think the boss should do better! It was so hot an humid inside the... store I literally almost pass out? inside the restaurant is very hot and the poor staffs were sweating like crazy, this is anvery humid environment to work in, and the workers always working so hard?. Updated review. The staff is always ready and knowledgeable about the food choices available on any given visit. They are fast... and very attentive to the customers. The food that is there is fresh and tasty. The reasons for my 3 star review which is stilla good place to grab a bite, but not exemplary are things that have been taken away or changed in the place. The ATM is notthere any more. Always clutch on a lunchtime visit. And some of the food choices that I used to enjoy were gone also. Friedchicken and fish and cheesey beef patties not to be found after several visits. The only other thing that I would add that wasnever there is a pot of Jamaican coffee in the AM. When grabbing a breakfast from here on the way to work, it would seal thedeal to get a coffee at the same time. ???? Thanks for caring enough to ask for a more detailed review. Haven't had Golden Krust in a while. Kinda one last hurrah as we were moving our parents from NY to NJ. The beef paties were... extremely dry. The flavor was okay but you could tell they were overcooked. The service was decent even though we had to wait inline for a while. The ladies were helpful once we got to the front. I've always liked GK but the food has gone downhill. Read more

Best oxtails! Curried chkn not bad either, (when made with whole pieces without bone splints). The veggie mix, with the cabbage,... oh yes. Plates r a lil pricy but tastiest around. N, the portions r worth the price. Read more

Remodeled into assisted buffet style (behind glass) service. Small & usually crowded with limited seating, but the food is fresh... & regularly replaced. All of the Caribbean classics are well done. Haven't had anything unpleasant tasting here. Yes, it's achain restaurant, but if you're not getting any home cooking, this isn't a bad option. Read more
