I tagged along with some friends to a death metal concert (my first ever), and had a really good time. The back room wasn't... huge, but it made for a more intimate venue. My friend even got to talk with the band. At the bar, we ordered basic beers andshots. The bartender was energetic and attentive. Read more

I have no idea how long this bar has been hosting metal shows, but I'm glad I discovered it this year. If you've read any of my... previous reviews, you know that I've been going to metal shows on a fairly regular basis for over a decade now. Due to that,I've been to a great number of venues all over the city. In that time I've seen beloved venues come and go, but it's stillsurprising when I find a new place I've never been to. Over the last few months I've been here around three times, but it was abit of a hassle to get here the first time. I looked up directions on google maps and just went from there. Honestly, this placeis pretty far from most public transportation. I've previously gotten here with the use of multiple trains and a bus line at aseparate time, but you're still required to walk quite a bit prior to arriving here. From the bus it took around 10-12 minutesof walking to get here and from the train, it took around 20 minutes or more. If it's possible, I'd say take a cab/ride serviceor get a ride from a friend. In regards to the venue itself, it's great. The concert space is pretty small, but it's notuncomfortably small. Seeing as how this place is a bar and grill, there are patrons eating and drinking as the show is ongoing. This was a bit of a nuisance for me because that area of the bar can get pretty cramped and it's a hassle to get through, especially when the bands playing a show have their merch tables set up. I realize there's no real alternative and it's not ahuge problem, but it can still be problematic when there's a lot of people and you're trying to get in or out. Overall, it's agreat place to come to experience metal bands in person and I'll keep coming as long as they keep hosting great yet affordableshows. Like I previously mentioned, I've been to this venue two or three times since September. That alone should let you knowwhat I think of it. Read more

This is a great music venue. I really like how they let you get some air outside between bands. I am really writing this... review to commend the security on how excellent they are at keeping the place safe. We attended the Evergreen Terrace show andas any hardcore show attendee knows there?s always those people in the pit that want to start fights or hurt people that aren?tactually in the pit. Each of these people were removed quickly from the venue and the place remained a great and safeatmosphere. Give this security staff a raise. They know what they are doing! Read more

Live music club was nicely Air Conditioned on a hot NYC night. I decided to get a Burger and Fries between bands and I was... pleasantly surprised that it was pretty decent tasting and good sized. It came with fries for only $10. There we're no tables inthere, so I had to eat at the bar which was actually fine. They also had an actual brick oven for making pizza. The bar areais separated from the Music Area by a door which made it a little quieter but the door still had a small window in it so I couldtell when the next band came on. I didn't expect the place to be as decent as it was looking at it from the outside. I wouldhave taken some better pictures of I knew I was going to be posting a review. Read more

Unfortunately one of the worst venues I've ever been to for a show. For it's size it makes for a more personal show, feels like... they were over the max amount of people allowed in the building. People spent good money to come watch and they shouldn't haveto watch from TV's in the bar room. I had stopped in to get food and water since I came from out of state. And was told I hadto leave when my food hadn't even arrived yet. After finishing my food as quickly as possible one of the gentleman once againsaid I had to leave right as soon as I finished signing my check....owners orders. I was also poured a new plastic cup of water.Asked if I could take it out and wasnt allowed to. From the people I did interact with many weren't happy with the venue aswell. Seems things need to change up a bit for a better experience. Read more
