What a beautiful experience! We shared 4 meals(2 people) but left with full belly. It was nice to see Chef at work, being... attentive and making sure every table had their order in time. Bar drinks were on point too, especially non-alcoholic drinks. They were out of few cocktails but everything we have tried met our expectations. Will definitely stop by for a snack and drinksat the bar for a date. Read more

It was supposed to be a birthday dinner. Unfortunately, despite sending information about it during the booking (the form has an... additional space with such a question), it was not taken into account by the restaurant. The menu itself was really polished.Very tasty dishes, presentation refined and at a high level (maybe without a fish... a lot of fishbones). The service made amistake and we got a dish that we did not order but was not charged to our bill. In general, it is worth going there because ofthe menu and interior design, although there is an impression of a slight chaos when it comes to waiter service. Read more

I’ll start off with the drinks. Drinks were amazing! I finally found a new favorite which is the green slipper! ???? Food was... superb! They give a complimentary starter which was really good to start with. A must order is the cornbread and ceviche???? The chicken and kurobata was amazingly tender as well! I really had an amazing time. If your server is mr clark. You’reall set! He made the experience exceptional with his service, attentive but not overbearing. Shout out to the crew as well! ????recommend!! Read more

I went to MADRE for the first time for Valentine’s day. Had such a lovely time, the food was amazing, the vibe was lovely &... romantic, and I had one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had (the Pocketful of Primrose). The staff was friendly and helpful, giving free tastes of chocolate mousse & cups of soup. They also sent everyone home with a complimentary cake! MADRE is now oneof my favorite restaurants (if not my favorite) in NYC. I feel it’s underrated because it’s in Greenpoint, but it’s morethan worth the trip. Read more

This meal still has not left me. I’ve digested yes, but I can’t stop thinking about course after course of plate licking,... drool inducing, wine guzzling perfection. From inventive cocktails, like the one I got served with THE El Buli olive (veryclever dirty martini indeed) to the humble chicken. Though there was nothing humble about the elevated flavor and juiciness.Dare I say moist? Yup, definitely moist. Then there was the chicken liver mouse, always a favorite but not always made ascreamy, rich, yet light and airy as this one. I can’t recount all the amazing dishes, but none were a miss. The service wasincredible too, guiding us through the wine list till we eventually settled on some old word flavor bombs. If you’re lookingfor a unpretentious but fully elevated dining experience with all the flavor and technique but none of the pomp andcircumstance, MADRE is the place to be. Now go! Eat! Read more

The food here was very good, and the service as well. But it did not quite live up to the hype. Perhaps we had our expectations... of such too high. My girlfriend and I lived down the street and passed this place every day, and it was always very busy. We hadto book a reservation a good amount in advance. Our favorites were the octopus and the ceviche. The chicken was a little bit toosalty. But we really enjoyed our experience. We’d probably go back and we’d recommend it to others as a Greenpoint favorite. Read more
