Oh man. I don't know if we caught them on a rough morning or what. I was served two separate glasses of water that had a dead... bug in them. The French toast was ok but the tartine was awful. Just soggy mush. No where does it say they are cash or AmericanExpress only. The atm was broken so I ended up walking two blocks to find one. Our waiter poured water in my cup over my food, so all the water residues on the water can dripped all over my salmon. I moved... the plate and I notified him, he just said sorry and went away, forgeting to pour my friend's cup. I still ended up finishingthe course cause I was hungry though that definitely made me feel uneasy. While we were sitting, there were a lot of flies (it'san open space) interupting the meal, it gets quite annoying. THEY ONLY TAKE AMERICAN EXPRESS OR CASH but do have an ATM. I hadcash on hand but we were baffled when the waiter asked if we need any change at all- I put down a $100 bill for a regular $54meal with mid service, it would be rude to request a 85% tip. Such delicious dinner. I forgot how excellent their cooking is. Beef bourguignon, steak frites, foie gras, charcuterie, escargot... ???? all of the suggested wine was absolutely unforgettable. Of course we had to get a desert and the caramelized apples under ascoop of icecream was worth all the extra calories! Must visit! Read more
Strolling through the neighborhood I passed by and decided to try it out as they had two outside seating spots available. I'm... glad that I did! They had a great brunch menu at reasonable prices and was craving a Bloody Mary which they also had. FrenchBistro, feel and charm, the owner and his little Daughter were on hand to great us and seat us. Server was a charming andfriendly young lady. Ordered and received our food in a timely matter. The Bloody Mary was fantastic and not watered down, theEggs Benedict with Salmon was just right, the egg oozing out with a light cut through it and the Hollandaise Sauce was smoothand not too thick. Came with three Steak Fries with it's own spiced sauce which was an perfect accompaniment and amount. Alsohad the Croquet on Toast with an egg on top and mixed greens. The toast was a burned on the bottom, but it was still a tastydish and didn't want to be too picky as we were hungry. Only thing I'd have wished for was to be checked on a bit more for arefill of the drinks (only had one drink each) as we were never asked if we wanted any more to drink (empty glasses). But Iguess it was luckily a good thing to pass on as we were satisfied with the meal overall and plan on going back for their Sunday$1 Oysters... Read more
Great neighborhood spot that’s always delicious and I’ve never had issues getting a table. Love the French feeling... surrounds, especially when they throw the windows open in the summer. The hanger steak and duck are always a go to, and saladsare delicious. Also love the snails. A favorite on the neighborhood rotation. Read more
