Remember coming here before they changed their name and it wasn't as nice. Pretty much the service and the quality went up like... 10% and rest is same. They need to redo some decorations here. The place looks old and a bit on the dirty side. The waiterisn't as helpful beside overcharge my bill by making a miscalculation. I suggest you ask for a recount after the meal and pay inthe front. Let me start getting a table and that probably the worst part at dimsum beside watching the cart moving slowly toyou and get stuck at that one annoying table and you are hungry. This place only has mostly 6 to 10 ppl tables and you probablyhave to share a table if you are a small group. Food is fresh and well made. The usual dishes and nothing truly amazing. If youdo come, do take anything the waiter carrying around to upsale at your table. Stay with the cart food and ask to see themfirst. Dont be shy. Read more

Dim Sum restaurant with a good variety of choices. Less crowded than the ones North of 50-60th Street due to location. Finding... parking is much easier as well. Restaurant is cash only so come prepared! Read more

CHINA ???????? Eat the World NYC review: When we think of dim sum parlors, we usually conjure up massive, opulent and shiny... rooms with a stage that doubles as an event space for weddings and celebrations. The city also has a range of smaller parlorsthough, like here at Open Rice. The same feelings exist, minus the spaciousness; things are loud and hurried and carts make abeeline for your table the second (or before) you sit down. On the morning of Lunar New Year, the dining room was especiallyloud and busy and dim sum service went went into the afternoon. This usually sleepy location was in full-out enjoyment mode, andsteamers of dumplings and chicken feet were rapidly landing on every table. The flavors and textures of each dish here aresharp and well executed. Chefs come and go so fast at these type of places that making recommendations can be fleeting, but fornow the kitchen here is on point. Read more

My family has been coming here for many years. Their style has changed a bit but I still love the dim sums in the morning. Their... variety of steam buns are my favorite, and also the steam rice noodle. At nighttime, there is a change in scenes. It?s Cantonesestyle dishes. I love their garlic chicken and walnut shrimp. Regardless, options are limitless. P.s. ask for their garlic hotoil. It taste good on everything!!! Read more

Dishes are mediocre in addition to being wonderfully scarce. It's quite funny how little food comes with wide plates and high... price tags and how the servers become mute at the mere question of their frugalness. The place is so empty and the food arrivesso slowly that the servers are often seen standing still and conversing. Needless to say you should not come to this locationor do so at risk of your satisfaction Read more
