You'll be very surprised at how superb the pizza is. The counterman/owner Judah is an orthodox Sephardi Jew who is one of the... friendliest and cutest guys in Brooklyn. He seems physically incapable of ever stopping smiling. The pizza chef is Italian anddoesn't compromise on quality and consistency. His intensity never lets up for a second. He's so obsessed with every aspect ofquality that you'll often see him wiping down the tables himself. The crusts are lightly fried and the sauces are piquant andsatisfying. The Sicilian square slices are especially recommended. There's a high school nearby so it's often jam packed withhappy teenagers. We try to go outside of regular lunch hours so we can dine in peace. It's not fancy at all - it's deceptivelygreat. In my opinion it's one of the top five kosher pizza places in the world. There's another one on the same avenue inFlatbush, one in Tel Aviv, one in Rosh Pina, and one in Rome. Pizza Time is easy to pass by but make sure to stop in. Cash only. Read more
Okay . The pizza is great . But guess what , if you guys watch how the guys put the pizza in the oven, you will think twice... about getting the pizza again .... So he touches the money from customers and then uses his HANDS with NO gloves and puts thepizza in the oven... He touches the door and everything and not once did I see him wash his hands before touching the pizza thatyou guys been eating . I am sorry, but money is super dirty & he comes out of the bathroom without even washing his hands ... Iam surprise that the heath department does not see this.... Read more
I am a customer of this place since it was called pizza center in the mid 1960's. My mom used to take me there when the pizza... was a quarter and the soda was a dime. Their pizza is the best pizza in Brooklyn and that makes it by default the best pizzaoutside of Italy. Not only is it delicious but the place is kept spotlessly clean. They have high turnover so it's always fresh,whether one is getting a pie or a few slices. Read more
Absolutely had to visit after the one bite review, so when I was in NY for the week I came by. The owner was extremely helpful,... friendly and overall great guy and recommended good slices. It was absolutely super fresh and every slice is a littledifferent, definitely recommend the beautiful grandpa slice and the dough balls! Take the time to relax and enjoy, take in theatmosphere! So I was going to head to the other pizzeria that is on the next corner but they were closed. I took a look inside and the pizza... looks really nice and honestly for the price that they were charging I wasn?t really happy and while the food is really good Istill feel the price is a little bit too much maybe $3.50 is pushing it not $5 but it still was really good, the bread thesauce the cheese everything came together.
