Had a wonderful dinner. Pleasant and hip yet as welcoming to 60 somethings as it is to 20 and 30 somethings. Delicious and... creative small plates with a focus on seafood. Extensive wine and cocktail offerings as well. Friendly and attentive service. Lively yet still quiet enough to easily have a conversation over dinner. Add photos Read more

Went in late night with no reservation and was quickly accommodated. Small place but huge flavors. I'd definitely be going back.

Interesting & delicious dishes, amazing service, great ambience. Favorites were the anchovies w beet butter, the escondido beet... mezcal cocktail, & the biscotti dessert. A cobble hill gem! Perfect for date night. Read more

I bring all my friends and guests here because it is one of the best spots in the neighborhood. Right next to the park, great... vibe, and the food is always amazing. Discovered this accidentally just after moving to Cobble Hill and I’ve worked it intothe regular rotation of restaurants to visit in the neighborhood. Great as a dinner for two (I’ve done walk-ins a few times)or dinner with friends if you can make a res decently well in advance. Read more

Absolutely sublime. A neighborhood treasure and worth the trip to cobble hill if you don’t live in the area. Exemplary... Presentation, service; and creative dishes. Noteworthy knife work on the dishes to boot. Always a fan of tapas sized dishes fora tasting style meal. Totally worthy of a Michelin star. A seriously incredible value for cuisine at this level. The drink menu was subpar. Customer service was so terrible, definitely the worse customer service in NYC. It was beyond empty... and now I see why. Not only that the waitress less than half of a daiquiri and overcharged. Lastly, they asked us for tip prior, didn’t even let us enjoy the drink first. Absolutely horrendous customer service, highly don’t recommend. Read more

When one of our favorite restaurants in Cobble Hill/Carroll Garden, La Vara opened a sister restaurant, Saint Julivert next... door, we couldn’t wait to try. Saint Julivert is a seafood centric restaurant. It’s a causal restaurant with high top tablesand bar seats. We ordered head on shrimps, whipped mackerel, Manila clams and Hamachi collar for dinner. Our favorite dish wasthe Manila clams with coconut bacon broth and oysters crackers. The broth was full of flavor but not too heavy with fresh clams. It was one of the best dishes I had this winter. Another winner was the Hamachi collar grilled with jerk sauce. The collar had alot of tasty meat and cooked perfectly. The flan was delicious end to a lovely meal. The servers were all very friendly andhelpful. The wine menu was balanced with affordable choices of white wines to pair with dinner. Read more
