It is a tiny cute little place. I like all the coziness and outside tables, we got margarita pizza and pasta with burrata cheese... and pesto, pizza has a remarkable taste, since they cook it on a giant stove, but the pasta was just okay. Read more
On the typical day this is good Neapolitan pizza, and if you're lucky it can be brilliant. I've been here a number of times and... its a bit inconsistent - the attached photos are the same pizza on a different day! Edit: the owner correctly points out thattwo are different pizzas. I guess in terms of consistency - one seemed undercooked (cheese not melted), one seemed a bit tooburnt, and one just right. Finally made it to Salsa.and.was pleasantly surprised to the quality of food and its authenticity. Their Neapolitan pizza is... very simar to the ones we have in Napoli a few years ago. Brings back many fond memories. Weather was ok so we dined outdoors.The salad, burrata and Patata Mia special pizza were all delicious. Worth a visit. Read more
Salsa is a wonderful new addition to Greenpoint, Bklyn. The space is small but charming and there is some outdoor seating. I... didn't try their Pizza because I can't eat a whole pie by myself. However I had the Montanara Mini. They serve two of them. They are these light and airy discs of dough, fried and topped with the freshest tomato sauce and shavings of Parmigiana andBasil. Delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Dough fluffy and perfectly pleasantly chewy. Flavors are great.
