Reviews for Sapid in Brooklyn, NY
Ordered via caviar as I had in the past. Tonight something must have been off. Everything was completely too sweet, like the... chef had just dumped sugar into every single one of the sauces. Where was the delicious depth of flavor I had come to enjoy? Read more

New favorite Indian spot in the neighborhood! So so delicious and huge portions. And we got a dessert on the house too ????
They have a great Indian buffet Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with all the options and they keep bringing out fresh trays of... hot food. Plus, the spiced hot tea with milk that's part of the buffet is delicious. The owner and the servers are all veryfriendly, too. Definitely recommended for low-key Indian soul food. Read more
My family and I have been coming here for years. We live in downtown Brooklyn so it's a bit of a drive to get to Sapid and the... parking is sometimes very difficult, but we feel that it is well worth the extra effort. The service is always excellent andthe food is some of the best Indian food in NYC. Said, the owner, has gotten to know us and is always warm and welcoming. Theprices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We are never disappointed. Read more
Can be really good, but inconsistent. A recent bug issue & the way the restaurant handled it was unfortunate. This was our... go-to place during COVID. We tried a bunch and ended up ordering from her about once a week starting in 2020. We found theflavor and spices really good, especially the lamb vindaloo, chana saag, aloo naan, chicken tikka, aloo gobi. Sometimes therewould be weird inconsistencies- the rice would be different, and one time was completely covered in oil (up to an inch in thetakeout container) and inedible. The lamb vindaloo was occasionally too vinegary. But, often enough it would come and be superhot and perfect so we kept ordering. Last night was our last order from them… there was a little cockroach floating at the topof the chicken tikka masala. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund, and they just refunded the one dish, though we wereskeeved out of all the food. I think they could have handled it better. Read more
