This restaurant had a special Juneteenth event where they gave a choice of 4 free dishes as long as you order a cocktail. I was... all in so wanted to try it. When we arrived I parked on the street nearby after circling for a bit. We walked in and were sat ata table inside and we seen there was an outdoor area. We asked if we could sit there and they said absolutely and we sat intheir little outdoor area. It was super cute. Kendra was our server and she was nice. I showed her our eventbrite free meal. Weboth went with the sweet chilli fish. For my cocktail I ordered the red sangria and it was very good. My friend enjoyed hercoconut cocktail. When the food came out it looked good. I dug in and it was very good. I enjoyed the flavors of the fish, riceand pasta. The music was good as we sat. We really enjoyed our time and the event. Read more
Found this place on IG. The pictures were enticing. So, when I went to visit one of my best friends in NYC & we had already made... plans to check Savannah Cafe out. We were not disappointed. The ambiance, the music, the food, & the service were allamazing!! Our server, Jay, was so nice, down to earth, and hilarious. All of the servers were very accommodating and checked onus to make sure if we need anything especially when it got busier & our server is server other tables. We had a fabuloustime! Came in on a Saturday night with a friend . We had outdoor dining , proof of Covid vax is required for indoor seating. The... place is very small but has a cute vibe. The music was a little loud if you wanted to come in for a date . . There was no waitto sit which I liked. To start for drinks I ordered the MR Fete and my friend got the rum punch. She said the rum punch wassweet and had the right hint of rum . My drink took a little long to come out but when it did baby it did not disappoint! Lolthe drink was strong but delicious. Fora 2nd drink we both ordered the maracas bay it was light and sweet. For an appetizer wegot the dem boy wingz they were DELICIOUS. I would definitely come back for those it came with 6 pieces . For food I orderedthe jerk chicken it came with rice and peas and my friend got the pork it came with cassava. For 18 dollars my serving wasextremely small and they didn’t give good pieces of the chicken so I was a little annoyed by that . The food was well seasoned. My friend said the Pork was good . Parking is terrible around the placenow be prepared to look. Black owned business. For two people expect to pay over $150. they include tip in the bill also just an FYI. Food was... yummy! Too many flies, my guess is cause of the out door seating in the back-those door remain open. Staff was nice to myfriend before I got there but they weren't very friendly while serving. That's to say they didn't smile or really engagemuch. Its definitely a cute spot. Skip dessert. You'll be full from apps and the entree trust me. Read more
Bar tender Eli, kind and welcoming. Inside crowd was young. Matured guest seemed to go to the back garden area which is lovely.... Food was average as far as taste and presentation. The best dish was the appetizer the oxtail Taco. The drinks on point. I onlyhad one and had to Uber home. They were soo good! Read more
This place transported me to the island from moment I stepped in the door. The hibiscus cocktail was refreshing , my jerk wings... had the perfect amount of spice and tang. The star was the oxtail tacos, smokey , with the cool taste of the avocado drizzle andthe mango salsa it was a calypso of taste. I will definitely return!! Read more
This is becoming one of my favorite local spots. Good Caribbean food. The service is good. The staff is friendly. Good music.... There is some outdoor seating as well. Foods to try: pelau, jerk chicken, the salmon, the pork, callaloo. Read more
