Wow oh wow this is good. Now it may not be a A5 Marbling score 12 Wagyu burger but it?s still pretty good regardless. Its a... smash burger for those who know. It?s definitely three steps higher than big corpos like McDonald?s, Burger King, and Wendy?s.To be honest, the regular burger is only decent but with the extra shack sauce poured on top of the burger, it brings a newlevel to the game. The shroom burger is definitely where you?ll think ?Goddamn this right here is a burger!? though, becauseit?s bazonkers good with the extra shack sauce poured on top. Unless you don?t like mushrooms of course, but don?t worry, theyhave other options too. Their drinks are average. You know fruit flavored stuff. Their shakes are sweet as hell and prettycreamy with little bits of cookie or sprinkles, so if you have a sweet tooth, try it out. Give it a shot! I promise you, youwon?t regret it. I usually get the bacon cheese fries but these fries were nothing I would come back for. Bits of bacon fat, and burnt grease.... The burger was dry and not up to the standards of most Shake Shack restaurants and I would pass on the chicken bites completely.I split them with a friend and we had leftovers. This never happens. A good Shake Shack in the chain. This one?s clean, service is prompt, cashiers are friendly. It?s been a good experience. The... food tastes fresh and my wait time has never been too long. They have a great system too with a window to pass off pick ups anddeliveries that doesn?t overcrowd the store and people wanting to eat inside. Shake shack took over America like a wave of inappropriate tweets from an orange-would-be-dumb-as-a-doorknob presidential... wannabe. Thankfully, the results are more digestible. The burger here has moved away from the two-hander, American standard, toa Bao-like configuration, complete with steamed bao bun. It's all pretty palatable, without any discernible qualities. Thetomato wilts under the pressure of its preparation, transportation, handling and proximity to the impressively hot, cookedmedium, otherwise bland meat. The sauce adds nothing but moisture. The lettuce I suspect has gone through more natural selectionthan the domesticated cow it blankets in a reassuring green. That's its sole purpose. It's a plus that this looks like thephoto, complete with hi-viz vest "cheddar". Tossing up between chocolate or vanilla thick shake, the very impressive counterwoman assures me that she hasn't tried the chocolate, but "the vanilla is bangin' ". Bangin' my pancreas for sure. It's creamyand at the right temperature to confuse the supplied straw, with a sugar level just a scintilla short of diabetes-inducing(though the world does seem to move at a confusingly slow pace for a while thereafter). These two incursions into pop culturefressing left me about $14 less wealthy, but 1000 calories closer to my days' allowance. Read more
Ok so today I didn't have time to cook dinner so my husband and I decided to order from Shake Shack and since we haven't had... this for a long time, we were super excited to have it again, UNFORTUNATELY our excitement didn't last very long. We got twocheeseburgers with fries. You know the tag that comes on the bag of buns, the one that has the expiration date on it? Well, itwas stuck to my bottom bun! I was grossed out big time! Even the ink was printed on the bun. On my husbands burger, they putthe tiniest piece of an old lettuce leaf. The burger was gross and unsanitary BIG TIME! We didn't even feel safe to eat it.
