There is something strange about this sweetgreen location. I was so excited when it opened as it was so close to my work. I've... ordered a handful of times and if you order online you will get 1/4 of a salad - they will not even fill it half full or to the"line." The first time I thought it was an accident. Today I ordered again and it was literally 3 small pieces of cauliflower afew leaves of arugula. Barely a salad. I would avoid this location and go to a different one. I wish I had looked at the otherreviews because it seems like it's this location specifically that's trying to cut corners. Read more
Miniscule portions for online orders, long queue for normal size orders. I ordered online for pickup (on the right), then... ordered the same bowl in store (left). $18 for a handful of salad leaves. They have an intentional policy of underfilling onlineorders and charging for ingredients even if they don't have them in stock. They used to have customer service that would refundwhen there was a major omission, like the $5 steelhead, but now they have an aggressive policy of no refunds. This got to be the worst healthy restaurant in the Brooklyn. I cannot understand how a salad restaurant could miss a major item... in the salad! Have they ever heard of ?salad protein? which was in my case Chicken. I will never be back at this location because they only fill their bowls 1/3 of the way. For $15, I had almost no protein and... barely any of the other ingredients that should have been in the salad. When asking the cashier why the portion was so small,she responded that it is standard portion sizes, which as someone who has gotten sweetgreen at other locations knows, is simplyfalse. I feel cheated and like I got a simple side salad instead of a meal. Avoid this location please and save your money. Read more
The other (unfortunately negative) reviews were my experience as well: small portion, unhelpful customer service. They were also... out of half of the ingredients in my Fish Taco bowl at 7pm. The staff didn't even seem to be putting out the pickup orders inthe grab-and-go cabinet, so had to wait in line to ask someone if it was ready (had already gotten an email that it was). Theyonly had a single person working the line (at prime dinner time!) so this took several mins, all while my warm bowl was gettingcold. Unfortunately, this type of service has really been par for the course in my Downtown Brooklyn franchise diningexperiences (looking at you, both Chipotles) - so it is nice to read in another review that other locations are not like this.May have to try sg again elsewhere. The portions are incredibly smaller than average and if you point it out they... charge you. i have been a customer of sweetgreen for over a year and know how my bowls look like, definitely not like that halfempty???? I?m convinced that the people who work here obviously do not eat here.. to pay the prices that we are charged for food, they... sure give you a little bit. I asked the girl to make my salad like she makes hers and her response was ?well I don?t like a lotof lettuce and you won?t be happy? then proceeded to make my salad the way she would like hers. The food is good but theportions are horrible. I gave one star because of the customer service. They moved very slow on this day I came in. Honestly,the first time I tried their food I went and got a second salad.. so that?s twice in on day.. so it was my third time gettingtheir food and I really need to think twice now. Almost $22 for a Caesar Salad and a small bottle of Green Tea in Brooklyn. Not even a full bowl and the chicken is measured... with a scoop. 1/3rd empty. Flavor was good but occasional grit. I would have given two stars but the grit took thataway. Staff was polite and friendly but I confused them when I asked for a Cesar Salad since the only Caesar on the menu was aKale Cesar.
