The food was delicious! We came back again three days later. Their micheladas definitely hit the spot and taste better compared... to other local restaurants. I had the coctel de octopus and give it 5 stars! Didn’t have to add additional hot sauce orketchup. The guacamole was deceiving because it looked like a small portion, but was well served. Read more

Girls….I must tell you about my experience at The King of Fish. This restaurant is seriously the best thing I never knew I... needed. You know, like the Ne-Yo song from, “The Princess and the Frog”?….Ok, so anyway, I’ll tell you why. This spot islocated in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. You look at it from the outside and would never guess what type of experience you’re gonnahave. You go inside to see the front of the restaurant, which is giving rocker bar/restaurant vibes. It’s filled with T.V.s,cool props at the bar, tables and lots of cool posters and even some positive affirmations. There’s lots of rock musicplaying. I learned that it’s because the owner, Roger, is a drummer and moved to the states to pursue his love of playing in aband! He’s also a lawyer, and, obviously a restaurant owner. So yeah, he pretty much can do anything lol. Once you walk to theback of the restaurant, you encounter the GORGEOUS outdoor patio. You go from Sunset Park, to Pirates of the Caribbean! Itreally sticks to the beach theme with the patio. I also learned that Roger often went to a restaurant that was located on thebeach in Venezuela as a kid. He wanted to bring that experience, along with amazing seafood, to Brooklyn. Speaking of amazingseafood, let’s get into it! Roger told me that he has the seafood delivered fresh, always! He says that it’s never frozen, and after trying the food, I absolutely know this to be true. Everything is made in-house, including the hot sauces, and eventhe juices they use for cocktails. I tried the Chilo cocktail, which was NUTS! It’s made with Mezcal and pineapple juice(house made), and it’s topped with a torched cinnamon stick….girl, yes, a torched cinnamon stick. And I must mention thatthey torch that cinny at the table….in front of you! The flavor of that torched cinnamon, paired with the pineapple juice isUNREAL! It tasted like I was on a beach, livin my best life! Ugh! Unreal. Just get out my face. As far as food, I tried the fishtaco, which Read more

This place is a such a vibe. Feels like a restaurant on Cape Cod with the nautical vibe, then the lights go down and it’s cool... and moody. Every cocktail we tried was tasty and beautifully presented - so stick to those and skip the michelada. I spoke tothe owner who’s super proud of the freshness of his ingredients. The tortillas are all made from scratch and you can taste it.The fish is fresh too. Overall, really solid tasty food. Amazing cocktails. Vibey ambiance. And it’s all pretty wellpriced. The guy opened this place a month before Covid hit - support the businesses that hustled to make it through andsurvived! Read more

This place is spectacular! The first time I went was late at night after work and it felt as if I was at a club in the East... Village! Diego, my server, was also the "DJ" playing awesome music, and food was delicious! My husband and I went today forlunch, he was delighted. We had Micheladas, his with shrimps and mine called Cubana, OMG! I loved it! I highly recommend it ifyou like spicy stuff. We had crab quesadillas (yummy) as appetizers, he had "Jefe de Jefes" (octopus beer cocktail, delicious, and I didn't eat octopus!), "pescado al mojo de ajo" (garlic-seasoned fish fillet), and one dozen raw oysters! We ended havingsecond Micheladas and we definetely had a blast! Roger and Vany do know their business, great service and hospitality! Therestaurant setting, decor and music made us feel so comfortably seated enjoying every tiny detail on the wall and ceiling in thepatio seating area. My husband said "¡este lugar no tiene progenitora! Absolutely! We decided to make it our "beach destinationin Sunset Park" walking distance from home! Thank you, Roger and Vany for your great service and kudos to your Cook(s)! Read more
