Just had a dinner with my Salvadoran husband and three kids. We trying to expose my kids to Salvadoran food and someone... recommend that restaurant.First - there is no table to accommodate family of 5. Waited until the lady fix the table, then waitedfor a person to take order. It was almost 15 min. But as soon as we sit down, the drunk person who had a 6 pack in front ofhim, start talking to me and my kids - mind that I don’t speak Spanish- so I tried to ignore it. Food came and was ok, some ofthe pupusas very burn, and my son hamburger was dry. And paper plates and plastic silverware! But then that drunk guy startedbeing loud and very disrespectful, to the point that my daughter felt uncomfortable. I ask the waitress to tell him something, but nothing was done. My kids decided to leave, I went to pay and told the person at the register that they lost a clientsbecause of drunk people. This is not a family restaurant. Never again. Worst experience for my kids. What a embarrassment formy husband who wants to show his kids his country’s food! I shouldn’t even gave that place ONE STAR! Read more

EL SALVADOR ???????? Eat the World NYC review: Blue and white, the colors of the Salvadoran flag, and matter of great pride for... its people, are represented well here in Sunset Park's Usuluteco. Even the bricks on the facade have been given a coat of freshblue paint, under the blue and white throwback awning advertising restaurant and country. Inside, the colors continue andmirrors enhance the size of this small-ish place. It is a working class restaurant through and through, the tablecloths areworn, and the tired faces glance up to the four televisions. During weekdays, the servers join the customers to watchtelenovelas, while on weekends fútbol rules. Often times Salvadoran restaurants can make these but do not advertise them onthe menu, sort of a need-to-know basis for folks that might want them. They are worth trying if you have not before, a fullshift in texture and flavor profiles. The rice is dense and chewy, but with a slightly sweet and more subtle flavor than corn, allowing the ingredients to shine through more. Read more

This place has good pupusas I am not going to lie but when it comes to the customer service it’s terrible. They will have you... wait for your order. I will always call and ask for pick up and my order still wouldn’t be ready when i get there. If you’renot Hispanic they will not cater to you. It’s sad. Every time I go there my experience is terrible. Read more

It's a little rat hole in the wall TVs on playing sports no volume. Felt almost like a funeral home no music or person to greet... you or seat you waited 15 minutes for 2 cans a soda. Finally took our order which was a simple one and soup neither the soap orthe order came in almost 2 hours sitting there and once I got up and walked out they finally realized that I wasn't going tostay any longer she charges me 4 dollars for soda Read more
