I visited Yiasou for lunch. It is in a scenic location on Emmons Ave, there are sidewalk tables and you can sit across from the... waterfront. Everything was fresh and delicious: the whole fish (Lavraki/Branzino) the fried calamari was perfectly salted andtender. the baked clams were seasoned deliciously. Fresh Greek Salad. the service was very warm and friendly. Woulddefinitely return to this restaurant and have been recommending it to family and friends. We went back again, it was deliciousand the same waiter was very friendly and welcoming. Read more

Went there for lunch with friend on a week day. They offered us a fresh red snapper. When the bill came they changed us just for... a fish $70 plus we had to pay $ 4.50 for credit card transaction. My bill end up to be $144 just for one fish and one Greeksalad. That’s was the biggest ripoff for a week day lunch! There are so many great restaurants in NY city offering lunchspecials this place is not worth it!! Be AWARE do not take anything if not listed in the menu you might end up of being catch ofa day!! I've been to this restaurant several times and it's such a delicious and comforting place. Whenever we had fish or meat,... everything was delicious! Every time we go we have their special tiny sardine sandwiches as appetizer, always great starter.Last time we had small dorada filler, rib-eye, Greek-style eggplant, horiatiki salad and mouth-watering saganaki. Yum! Keep inmind fish sold by weight, so it wouldn't come to you by surprise with a bill. It's preferrably to pay in cash to avoid cardcharge, don't ask - don't know. I love their tiramisu, so save some space for a dessert. Read more

Amongst a streetful of mediocre places, Yiasou is truley a find. I would say mostly fish, but ahhhh the fish is fresh and... wonderful. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and their's always an interesting red or white greek wine to try for thefirst time. Love all the small plates too. But perhaps this is the best recommendation when my mother in law turned 99 this isthe restaurant we chose. Worth making the trip to Sheepshead Bay for this lovely place. Read more
