I ordered on Seamless, which had Yummy Thai's rating as perfect 5 out of 5; which is odd, because as I looked into it, there... were MANY one star reviews that didn't seem to factor into their rating. I ordered Thai Iced Coffee, which was seemingly justsome really basic iced cofee. I ordered the eggplant basil dish, which was not spicy, poorly cooked and seemed to be in somesort of very generic tasting Chinese food sauce, like general tso's or something; tasted VERY ketchupy. I also ordered friedoysters, which were pretty much fine, nothing to complain about there. Overall, this definitely didn't seem like Thai food atall, and seemed closer to low-end Chinese takeout. Really disappointing overall, and I would otherwise give 2 stars for thefried oysters, but the fact that they have a perfect 5 on Seamless when they have a ton of 1-star reviews compels me to givethem 1 star. (Also I'm unable to rate and review them on Seamless for whatever reason, but they do not deserve a 5 star rating;they obviously bought ratings and reviews) Read more

This is not Thai food… I ordered pad Thai and what I received was lo mein with crushed peanuts and lime. Hugely disappointing... and strange.. not sure why they market themselves as a Thai place. Never been catfished by a restaurant before. Someone belowcalled this a low quality Chinese restaurant pretending to be Thai, which is accurate. Pro: very cheap If you have a Thaicraving, this place will leave you disappointed Read more

The absolute worst food I've had delivered in NYC in as long as I can remember. I wish I had seen the negative reviews here... because I agree with all that they're saying. This is certainly not Thai food, which my family loves. Instead it's like Chinesefood with a little bit of Thai influence but everything is of extremely poor quality and just plain gross. The other person'sreview of the mango rice is spot-on. It wasn't just bad food, it was totally inedible. We placed an order of over $70 and whenwe called to complain they refused to give us a refund. I don't enjoy posting bad reviews but I really hope that no one elsesuffers like we did. Yummy Thai looks like it's a part of another restaurant next door that allegedly serves Chinese and Sushi.Stay away! Read more

I ordered the red curry and ended up getting a mountain full of veggies with just a few drops of curry soup... I'm not sure what... I'm meant to do with the mountain of veggies now but the flavor was good. Read more

This is a low quality Chinese restaurant pretending to be Thai. Avoid. Some of the worst food I’ve had in NYC in 15 years.... Flavorless, spiceless, thin sauces. The chicken is the slimy and unusually textured-kind, either reconstituted meat or veryinexpensive. The vegetables are huge and bland, like they came from a can. Even the peanut sauce was bad! Woof! Looking it upon google, this seems like one of those Chinese places that also ‘specializes in’ fried chicken and burgers. I got my $25lunch refunded via Seamless; writing here so you don’t make the same mistake. Read more

I ordered the mango sticky rice.. and what came was a TON of rice drenched in a sweet soup with tiny cubes of mango, some pink... fruit, and... raisins. This is nowhere near what mango sticky rice is. Also, they didn't even use sticky rice, this is regularole hard grains of rice in a soup of milk. Disgusting. Read more
