Reviews for Taste of Africa The Best of African Cuisines in Brooklyn Center, MN
We ordered Egusi soup to go but instead we got something that wasn't remotely near Egusi soup. It didn't even have the proper... color or taste (I've had plenty of Egusi soup in actual Nigerian restaurants, this was nothing like that). We were told the meathas turkey, chicken, and beef but instead we only received turkey (mostly cartilage and bones) and a bite of chicken. I wouldn'teven be as irritated if it wasn't for the fact that it costs about $18 ($20 w/tax) for just 1 bowl and it was a different stewthan what we ordered. Read more

Really good food. Home style cooking. We showed up 30 minutes before closed and still took out order and let us dine in.
The food is very flavorful a bit too spicy for littler children it’s really greasy the meat isn’t all that great the chicken... tastes incredibly old ????and not many selections to choose from. They are also on the pricey side, they charge 15$ for aregular size meal to whereas at other African restaurants their larger sizes are that much. Overall pretty good food if you arecraving it. The fufu is great best I have tasted in a very long time. Read more
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered Palava sauce and Gb soup with fufu and the food was delicious. I had... accidentally left my credit card there and one of the employees even decided to call me back to pick up my card and even askedwhat was the last 4 digits to make sure it was my card before giving it. So overall this is a great clean restaurant with moralsand I’ll continue to buy food from here. Read more
My family and I really liked the food, including my son-in-law from Ghana. The service was great and owners very friendly and... helpful. I could eat too much of the chicken dry rice and cassava leaf dish too. Read more
