Nice place to have lunch or dinner. Good variety on the menu, staff is very very attentive to customers.
This place has a lot of character and charm; have a beer, eat some food that reminds you of home, and take the kids to look at... the animals in the back. I had the rice and beans, which was decent and I imagine on a cold evening it would hit the spot. Itwasn't spiced to my liking, so you'll need Tabasco sauce. It's cheap and you get a lot of it; I brought left overs home anddumped jalapenos in it to make it just perfect. I also had jalapeno hush puppies, they were good but again need more of a spicykick. Good local joint with homemade, hand battered, southern comfort style food. The catfish fillets were thick and juicy. My wife... said the chicken fried steak was amazing, nice thick meat and good tasty batter/crust. Beer was very cold and refreshing. Nosweet tea unfortunately. The red potatoes were just ok, not much flavor. Large space for a big party or event in the back.Ceilings are low, lighting is strange, but you're guaranteed to walk away full and happy. Read more

My wife took me and her father out for Father's day lunch here. It was a 20 minute trip from Brookshire Texas and well worth the... drive. My Father-in-law loves their crawfish and has been coming here for years. He ordered the platter and we ordered the oldfashioned burger with regular and cajun fries. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. They are Johnny on thespot. As for the atmosphere, it has an old country feel which adds character and charm. Also, the ceiling in the main area wascovered in dollar bills with all sorts of writing on them. Never seen such a place. Lastly, this place fills up with customersfast so come early.
