Given, we live 15 minutes down the road but we went with delivery. We placed an order for delivery for 1 pizza at 6:15 and it... said that it would take 45 minutes to process. Great, so we waited. I called at 7:50 wondering where it is and the receptiontold me it was already out for delivery. nd the pizza finally comes at 8:10. It took an extra hour and 10 minutes after the 45minutes of processing. Was told by the delivery guy who was rushing to leave after giving the pizza that the kitchen was backedup and delayed. Ok been back after damn close to 2 decades. Still amazing cheesesteaks 100% the gold standard. Friendly service and cozy... atmosphere. Simply great streaks, cold softdrinks and great service. This is where I bring people to try a real cheesesteakwhen they come to Philly. Read more

The Original Thunderbird Steakhouse has been running family owned and operated since 1956 and is known as the ?go-to? for cheese... steaks in Philadelphia. I?ve been waiting years to come here and wasn?t disappointed. Our waitress Gail was delightful. Shewas quick to serve our iced tea drinks (this is also a must) and then the cheese steaks arrived. A squeeze of mustard andketchup in the middle and then BOOM! Tastebuds are alive. The texture of the sirloin meat with the cheese and soft bun takeswhat could be seen as just a steak roll to a culinary treat beyond belief. And to back this up, they were the 2022 winners ofthe best Cheese Streak by Main Line Today Magazine. Says it all. But what else can you have? Plenty. Pizza. Hoagies. Burgers.Calzone and more. Lots of choices and if you?d like to have that event of yours catered for - check them out. The staff arefabulous, friendly and keep those cheese steaks pumping out to diners. Well done team. Right down the street from the Nicholas Smith train and hobby store, we stopped here for lunch. I had a cheese steak hoagie and... my husband had a tuna salad sandwich and we shared an order of french fries. The food was great! Great place, nice staff, and excellent food. I had their BBQ brisket pizza; with Wilson's secret sauce brisket and it's... fantastic. I was totally blown away and easily one of my favorite pizzas of all time. I would give that pizza at least a 9.5.This new menu item was so good that I went back a second time a week later after I discovered it's introduction. I also reallyloved to see the collaboration of two of my favorite restaurants in the area too (The original Thunderbird & Wilson's SecretSauce). Read more

BEST CHEESESTEAKS PERIOD!!! I grew up in the area and this is farrrr better than Pats, Geno's, Delasandros, Jim's or ANY other... establishments that claim to have the best CHEESESTEAKS! Easy Parking, Fast, Friendly customer service & the place is REALLYCLEAN!!! Fair, Family Friendly Menu Pricing & They were established in 1956 and I think even some of the original employeesSTILL work there. WHENEVER you're in their area, I hope you give them a try.
