We live about 45 minutes from Island Taste Fusion but today is my husbands birthday and the ONLY thing he wanted was their... delicious brown stew chicken so we took the ride. I tried the jerk chicken this time and if you ask me it was even better thanthe brown stew. The rice, cabbage and plantain could be meals on their own. We waited for the woman working the eatery to cookit while we sat at the bar, and then she delivered our meals to the bar in takeout containers so we could start our meal thereand then finish the huge portions off when we got home. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's very clearly the product oflove and expertise. The atmosphere is not fancy at all (it's just a stall alongside a small local dive bar) but the food is topnotch and wonderfully priced. Read more
This is horrible! I had curry goat, little to no flavor. My boyfriend got soggy beef patties.

Most Authentic Jamaican food in ocean county. After moving back home from Philly at college I really was struggling to find a... good authentic place to eat. Not only is the food authentic but the portions are great, the price isn?t bad and the customerservice I received was very very professional. It?s so hard to find good places to eat around here besides Chinese, fast food, Italian or a Diner so to be able to buy a entire to go box of oxtail w rice and peas, steamed cabbage (that is amazing btw)plantain, Mac and cheese, a ginger beer and a side of jerk chicken all for 30$ I couldn?t believe it, and considering theportions are huge they not only feed me dinner but I always end up with extra to be able to bring into work w me. I highlysuggest island taste, especially the oxtail and cabbage. It sucks that we don?t have more diversity in terms of food / culturesharing in this area so I really can?t stress enough when I say go check them out. I?d hate to see a place with such amazingfood and staff ever struggle or go outta business, I was traveling all the way from Lacey Township to New Brunswick any time Iwanted good Jamaican food bc I couldn?t find ANY in the area.
