I do NOT visit this place enough. This place is hands down my favorite restaurant in Brownsville! I've tried almost every food... here. From Pasta, to Pizza, to Calzones, none of them are far from excellent! La Scala's food focuses more on simplicity ratherthan adding too many ingredients, in my opinion. I've been searching for some good authentic pizza!!! This place even has a fusion twist with asada and carnitas pizza!!! The... waitress was nice, the unsweet tea was refreshing, the marinara was on point. Even the cheesy breadsticks were worth the extraweight I'm going to gainnn ???????????? I'll think of this place next time I get a good italian craving. I may even try some oftheir pasta dishes next time. That lobster ravioli sounds delicious. Read more
Atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the food was good.The service was poor and we felt rushed .The prices are good and the... place was clean. The restaurant can use new decor such as new tables and matching chairs and new table clothes.The tree in thecenter is very pleasing and unique. Read more
Very distaste customer service. I had a birthday dinner for my mother and I, and everything went well until we asked for napkins... and plates for cake. They denied our request, after we, a party of many people, are paying for their services. We became upsetand they told us the REASON was because the OWNER does not gain anything from giving us free plates and napkins. NAPKINS. Iunderstand plates, but napkins? They (owner and servers) also told my grandmother that if she did not like this, she couldleave. We didn’t let this ruin our night, we worked with what we got but that was bad service, none of us will be returning.I guess that is what the owner gains. Read more
Terrible service! Waitresses with such negative attitudes. We had a reservation for a birthday today. They wouldn’t give us... plates for the cake which I understand. But napkins! They wouldn’t give us napkins! First they claimed they told the personmaking the reservation that they don’t provide plates or anything which was a complete lie! Then they said “the owner sayshe doesn’t get anything out of doing that.” And they told my grandmother “if you don’t like it you can go somewhereelse”. We’re shocked! We had been coming for years! Every family member’s birthday! We will definitely not be returning!Very disappointed in their response. Read more
tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was absolutely amazing. everything was so fresh. the wings are delicious!... breadsticks are great, 2 come with each dish. chicken alfredo was also perfect. the service was average, the waiter only checkedon us once and it was when we waived them down and asked for the check. but other than that i would eat here everyday if icould! delicious food. On my shortlist of favorite places to eat and now my favorite pizza place. Cheeseburger pizza was surprisingly awesome. I've had... gimmick pizzas before, and these are nothing like that. Cheeseburger had just enough pickel and cheese complementing the pallet.It even came with fries. Carnitas was the other pizza we tried. Also delicious. Crust is crispy and "bready," perfect. Wingswere great... Flavorful, crispy, meaty, juicy. The empenadas were also pretty decent. Water tasted clean, service was good, foodcame out quickly enough. Will be going back soon. Read more
