Reviews for The Hideout Golf Club and Resort in Brownwood, TX
Great service by Taylor. Food was good, my reuben sandwich was very good. All of us liked our food and we're happy we took a... detour on our travels to stop here. Read more
I?m giving the resort 5 stars even though the pool wasn?t opened. If it had been open, I?d give it more stars. Lodge was very... nice, grounds were nice, food and drinks were also great! We stayed in a ranch house cabin. The size is great! You should knowyou can?t park very close to your cabin and the cabin needs way more kitchen supplies BUT we made due and had a very good time!!Golf course was in great shape! Read more
The RV camping was a gravel parking lot 2.2 miles from the clubhouse with full hookups, a picnic table and charcoal grill. All... the amenities were at least 2.5 miles away and we don't tow a vehicle. We drove 278 miles to check this out because Coast toCoast magazine listed it as a top place to visit. We only stayed one night. BAD. Read more
OMG...where do I start? First, the spot they gave us was full. The RV park is NOT a resort...it's in a field far away from the... clubhouse. Showers are quite a distance from the sites. There is no wifi as stated. We left after 1 night as I did not feelsafe. Read more
MEH. Let me be clear that this is only a review of the golf course and my experience. The course tries to be fancy but they... lack any type of execution. Checking in was a joke. The pro and his son blasted in and the ?dude? checking me in cared moreabout the 54 scramble round they claimed that they shot than helping me. After paying I had to go to the un-manned bag drop tocarry my clubs to the spot where the carts where. First tee - they placed a starter on the first hole who immediately asked formy receipt. To which I could only respond ?I wasn?t given a receipt, nor was I told I would need one?. He was very nice anddidn?t care because he knew that I could only get keys to the cart after paying?.. Then why ask!?!? The course - oh my. Crabgrass and no grass are the theme here. The greens are not good. The fairways are not defined and the greens are trampolinesthat provide a bumper car like experience when you finally get to putt. This course charges $85 per round and is worth $35. One of my worst Texas golf experiences. Read more
Such a lovely getaway tucked away from it all! Only a few miles from brownwood, you feel miles away with dark starry nights and... gorgeous sunsets. The resort has trailers, cabins and hotel rooms. Plenty of activities for the family. Great pool and kiddoactivities. We did not eat at the restaurant while there but it looked very nice. We will be back for sure! Read more
I cannot say enough good things about The Hideout and the phenomenal staff there. I had my wedding originally planned for May of... 2020 there and had to postpone it until May of 2021 so I had a good two years of working with them and I couldn?t be happierwith my experience! The entire resort is so beautiful, the food and drinks are amazing, all the rooms and cabin are so nice butthe staff is what really puts everything over the top. The General Manager, Steven, and the Events Coordinator, Josh Soto, arethe most incredible people. They were so professional, so accommodating, so nice, so fun to work with! They were constantlygoing above and beyond for us! They built decorative doors for us! They put together a rehearsal dinner for 30 people at thedrop of a hat when another restaurant in town ignored our reservation! They blocked off 3 extra rooms for the bridal party toget ready in and moved everything inside at the last second when it started to rain! They could not have been better to us! Weare so unbelievably happy with our experience here and we are so grateful for this incredible staff! Everyone here absolutelybends over backwards to make sure you?re happy! THIS is the place to book any kind of event!! They will make it the most perfectday!! Read more
This place USE to be a great place to go play a round of golf at a reasonable price. They raised prices to $94 a round and sad... to say I knew it would eventually happen with the snobs that go out there. Us regular folks always get pushed out the doorbecause we like to actually have fun and not take golf so serious. Whoever is in charge of the prices should go kick rocks. Read more
