I think it just found my new favorite barbecue place. While looking at the menu, I made a comment to the person waiting to take... my order, along the lines of "You need a menu item for some of everything". Well, it turns out they do. "I want it all!" Half apound each of brisket and sausage, half a rack of ribs, and half a chicken, along with two large sides. (Props to C&J for stillselling ribs by the rack, instead of the pound.) While I did a double take when he told me the price, I realized that it wasn'tbad for that much food... which will last me a few meals. All in all, everything was very good to excellent. A few bites were abit dried out, but that was likely due to my coming in during off peak, between lunch and dinner, as well as those bites beingthinner (end rib, chicken wing). At a new location, and Google is dumb and may send you in circles. Plug in 2112 West Briargate Drive in Bryan, and your GPS will... take you to the right spot. It is a good spot for family gatherings. Our party room held 30 people and was clean. We had plentyof good Gluten-free options on the menu. I am so thankful for this restaurant in a time of need for our family and friends. Weenjoyed the sports playing while we ate. Nice bathrooms! Read more
I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled burger. They both were good but, I have to give the edge to the pulled pork. The... meat wasn't dry and the BBQ sauce had a sweet spicy taste. Well definitely be ordering this again. Read more
This was our 1st experience with TX BBQ since moving from FL a few months ago. The line was long, the service was good but the... cashier didn't know what came with our meals and I believe they over charged us. $35 for a pork sandwich, small Mac n cheese, apork plate and 2 drinks. They gave us a number and said they would bring out the fries that came with the sandwich but theynever came. We even tipped!! Overall, unimpressed. 1st and last time coming here. Read more
Came in on opening day, the barbecue was some of the juiciest and most flavorful I?ve ever had. I ordered the Pork ribs, Moist... brisket, and the Jalapeño & Cheese sausage with Macaroni Salad and Loaded Ranch Potatoes. Really great and clean atmospherewith some of the best barbecue the Lone Star state has to offer. Read more
C&J BBQ was good but not as good as it?s been in the past. I can?t really put my finger around it but maybe more commercial. The... glory days of eating at C&J back in college, it felt more authentic. I don?t know. I got the double meat plate with chicken andbrisket with Mac n cheese and potato salad. I really liked the jalapeño poppers. They are opening a new location so I don?tknow. Read more
