I've gotten in the habit of going there on Mondays at lunch to get the fajitas for one special. I usually eat my fill and bring... home extra. I love that they have black beans. Food always seems to be hot and fresh. Read more

It was my birthday, enjoyed the staff singing Happy birthday! My tamale dinner was very good. I loved my birthday surprise with... candle! Our meals were not served at the same time for our table of 8, half had to wait on food while one was the wrong order, but corrected. Besides that we enjoyed our meals and had a good time. Read more

I had the el memo enchiladas & beef chalupa. Nice serving sizes. Beef chalupa was amazing. Refried beans were good. Rice was... dry. Corn tortillas in enchiladas were dry. Chili con carne topping had a weird taste. No salsa was provided. Thankfully adollop of guac & sour cream came on the chalupa & that provided some ?moisture? for the dry rice & covered up that weirdenchilada taste. 1st & last visit. Read more

After a long break from Casa Rodriguez our family decided to give it another shot. We had seen so many good looking things... online. Unfortunately it was still lack luster. The restaurant wasn?t super busy and our order took so long that people that gotthere after us were leaving before us. We asked for salt for our chips, it never came. I asked about what drink the waitressrecommended and she recommended the margarita which sounded great, it wasn?t until after it got to our table I realized thateveryone else in the restaurant with a margarita had one that was way larger then mine. It would have been nice to know if therewere multiple size options. When our food came I had the wrong kind of beans and they didn?t have any knives available, whichmade it so I couldn?t eat because my meal required a knife. Once the correct things came(including the knife) we were asked ifwe needed anything else and when we said ?no? our waitress didn?t come back until our meal was finished. For us that meant noway to ask for refills on drinks or the ability to ask for anything else. We considered ordering dessert but it took so long forour waitress to come back that we decided it wasn?t worth it to sit and wait an extra 30 minutes. Overall the food was decentbut nothing super fantastic and the service was just as it was the last time we ate there. None of the things we experiencedwere a big deal but they all built on each other and made it into a not so great experience. If you have an hour and a half ortwo to eat a meal then maybe this is the right stop for you. I really wanted to enjoy the experience and hoped that our lastvisit was just a fluke, but that doesn?t seem to be the case. Read more

Hey everyone! If you are looking for authentic home made from scratch mexican food then Casa Rodriguez in downtown Bryan is a... must go!! Casa Rodriguez is one of the best mexican restaurants in the area. They are family owned so they know a thing or twoabout authenticity and great customer service! The food is fantastic! I have been here several times and I am always met withprompt and friendly service. The atmosphere here is laid back and very comfortable. I highly recommend visiting Casa Rodriguezas soon as you can. HUGE THUMBS UP! Read more

Traditional Mexican cuisine. Nice Mexican atmosphere with friendly waiters. And now the food: even if some in my party didn't... like the menudo, I liked my mango tilapia, nicely grilled with blackened shrimp. Charro beans were good as well. The avocadoslices were a bit small but tasty. Read more

Great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Service can be hit or miss, but this is likely due to being short staffed. Also,... the frozen margaritas never seem to come out consistently in texture for some reason? Updating my review because service seemsto get worse each time I go. Restaurant was busy today but we were there for 2 hours from the time we sat down. Read more
