Had the two meat platter awesome stuff! Great customer service, the decor inside and outside was awesome too.
We put in a to go order, and I guess the ticket wasn?t seen until we got there for pickup. The food was ready 30 minutes later... than the original pickup time. I promised myself I wouldn?t write a review unless the food was bad, so here we are. The brisketwas dry and flavorless like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all afternoon. The ribs were chewy and had no smoke flavor atall. The sides were fine, new potatoes and some pretty standard salad. Just not worth waiting an extra half hour for. Wanted tolove this place. Read more
1st visit for a birthday dinner. Nice environment. Good server. Great corn bread appetizer. Cold beer. Cream corn was great. ... My wife?s bake potato as very good and so was my mash potatoes. Now my wife and I both ordered the 16 oz ribeye medium well. Hers was cooked perfectly but mine was pretty much rare to medium rare. I did point out the differences in our steaks to thewaitress who was apologetic. She did ask if I wanted to send it back, which I declined. I don?t trust sending any food backunless I speak with the chef or manager first. My wife?s steak tasted excellent & I?m sure mine did to those who like it cookedrare. Top-of-the-line creamed corn (CodyCorn) and huge portions of the veggies. Moderate sizes of forgettable brisket, sausage, and... ribs. Nice local options for those looking for table service, but not quite to the weigh-it-at-the-counter standard. Read more
Was very disappointed about this experience. I'm not sure why they have such great reviews but it just makes me think that these... people have never had great bbq. The brisket was so dry and old, had no flavor. The ribs were small, dry, and boney, very littlemeat on them. The sausage was ok but after the brisket and ribs were so bad this was just a small consolation. The potato saladseemed store bought, not homemade at all. Pinto beans and fried okra were fair. The creamed corn was either cooked too earlythat day or the day before because it was old and dry. The service was good and that's the only reason for two stars. Otherwise,save your money because this bbq is definitely not worth it. Read more
Steak was excellent as always. Bacon, cheese, and ranch covered fries were a gluttonous good time. The peach cobbler and... cinnamon ice cream just about put me in a coma. Man, it was ALL good! Read more
Dry. Expensive. Tastes bad. 2nd worst bbq I?ve ever had. Very disappointed. Don?t bother ordering an appetizer it will come... out after your food no matter how long you wait. I had the three meat plate. So I got a little taste of everything. It was allso dry! And the brisket and turkey were like tasteless dust in your mouth. I have never had barbecue this dry before. And notaste except for the sausage which was edible. This was sooo disappointing. I was really hungry and in the mood for somebarbecue. The 4 dollar beer didn?t help. Also I was never once checked on after sitting down. But the main thing is the superbad food and the high price. It?s not worth it at all. I regret coming here. A huge waste of money for one person to eat areally bad meal. I would have rather gone hungry for lunch. I kinda feel like I was scammed out of 30 dollars. Never comingback. 2nd worst barbecue that I have ever had. I don?t know how this place has such high reviews my experience was not good atall. We went there for the first time Monday night. It was fantastic!! There were 4 of us. My wife and I along with my cousin and his... wife. We had between the four of us 2 of the grilled catfish, the pork chop and the sausage plate. We tried some of each othersand it was all delicious. For sides we had something called Cody corn (YUMMY!!) baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, pinto beans,Cole slaw and fries. IT WAS ALL GREAT!!!!! Add to that a live country band and a cozy table and it all added up to a veryenjoyable experience. We stayed right up to closing time.
