If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! We just experienced the BEST food we?ve had in years! I had the... spicy chicken sandwich and OMG, it was fabulous! Full of flavor and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My husband had theNawlins Boil and I don?t think I?ve ever seen him eat his food so fast! We just left and he?s still raving about how amazing thefood was! Even our 3 year old devoured his food! Corey was very nice and checked on us several times to make sure everythingwas good. This place is off the beaten path, but don?t pass it up!! The catfish and shrimp were delicious. The dirty rice was fantastic!... We all had the 3 piece catfish and 6 shrimp. The cook, waitress and checker were all so friendly. Please try it the next timeyou are close by! Read more
Don't miss this place if you are in the area! Great food! My husband took me here for a lunch date last week. It was a little... hidden and those are the best places to eat! I loved the mom and pop feel as soon as we pulled in. It was heartwarming to seethe free pantry outside the building. When you see that, you instantly know you are supporting a small business with a hugeheart ?? The owner is so sweet and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I had the blackened fish and it wasdelicious and cooked perfect! My husband had a crab leg and shrimp dish and the seafood was cooked on point as well. I also hadmy very first Boudain balls! I have crawfish and he was really good definitely recommend but unfortunately my husband experience with his burger poboy was... not good the meet was taste frozen! The location it?s kind hard to find at night specially if you are first time go theredefinitely need some improvement with putting some bright lights or bigger signs for people coming in at night! Best Cajun place to eat. Food seasoned to perfection. I will be going back. The greens were to die for with the cornbread.
The shrimp poboy was on point. My Buddy said even the bun was perfect. The breading seasoning was good on the shrimp. The fried... catfish was stellar. It had a great taste. The breading was light and crispy. Since I lived in New Orleans for two years, the?tarter sauce? was more reminiscent of a remoulade. That being said, certain side items needed more attention. The fries werebasic?needed seasoning. The jambalaya tasted like Zatarains, (which, of course, is wonderful). The mac and cheese was cookedperfectly, but lacked seasoning. The potato salad was fine, but needed a little seasoning, or something, to make it standout. Building is modest and you might overlook it without GPS. Overall, it was a great experience.
