I went yesterday afternoon with my family and had the most terrible experience. We were waiting inside this filthy place for... 30-40 minutes for our food. When we went up to question how much longer, we saw this teenager eating the meat while preparingit. When I mentioned it to the staff member they replied that ?He has to taste it to see if its good?.We couldn?t believe it, Ilooked around to see if there was cameras around and was waiting for someone to come out and say i was being Punked. I was sodisgusted we had to cancel our order especially during COVID. Obviously these kids need a babysitter. My family and I will go tothe one on Watson instead. Read more

As lifelong fans of cafe Rio, we have been very disappointed with this location. Last order was the third strike. Burritos were... ordered with sweet pork which ended up just being plain shredded dry pork with no color or flavor. Definitely not sweet pork. Weordered them enchilada style so they had sauce and cheese on top, but oddly enough, no sauce on the inside. Between no sauce anddry unseasoned pork, it was a terribly dry and bland burrito. I don?t know if all cafe Rio locations are going downhill as badlyas this one is, but we can?t justify coming back. There are too many alternatives that do a better job with higher quality.Sorry cafe Rio, but it?s time we part ways. Read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could. Went through the drive thru and ordered a salad with everything on it! They literally gave me... a tortilla with with some dry pork, lettuce with a little cojita cheese sprinkled on top. This is absolutely the WORSTexperience I?ve ever had at cafe rio. Read more

This is my third attempt at giving this location a chance since I live in Verrado and it's more convenient than the Watson... location. They have totally messed up my 2 previous orders through the drive thru so I decided to walk in and order this time.There is ZERO customer service. Instead, there are kiosks set up to order. The options on the kiosks don't give you many of theoptions that are available to order at the other locations. I ordered the best I could and then verbally asked the younger galworking if she could make sure the burrito had the red hot enchilada sauce on the top and if we could get a side of cilantro.She said it wouldn't be a problem (she was the only employee with any customer service). I received the order and took a glancebefore I left to make sure it looked right. The burrito looked right, but I immediately saw tortilla strips on top of thetostada, which I specified on the kiosk I did not want. It wasn't a ton so I figured I could just pick those off. The rest ofthe to go bowl was all lettuce so I had no idea what else awaited me when I got home. I included a photo of the receipt and willstate what was not included in the order: No shredded chicken No tortilla on the side Pico de Gallo Tortilla chip strips Theadditional items that are supposed to be included on a tostada are: Shredded cheese, cotija cheese, lime, cilantro and sourcream. There was no shredded cheese, cotija cheese, or lime. I sat down with my husband to eat and realized what was actually infront of me. I tried to call the location and could not get through (the line kept going dead as soon as I chose the option totalk to someone about my order) so I ended up driving back. The young gal came up and talked to me and was polite in saying shewas sorry, but I asked to speak with a manager. If I could give zero stars I would. They always mess up your order, terrible attitudes, slow service, and rude. Savannah was... rude an another employee in front of me and she stated to me that she?s tired and has been working since 7am (she?s themanager). Then, I get home and they completely forgot my protein, steak and chicken, which they charged me for both. When I wentback, they didn?t try to rectify the situation. We ordered online pick up and we got here we still had to wait 30 minutes to get our food. Why ask us to put the time for us to... pick it up when you can't even do it. So much for having an app to make it convenient to just pick it up... The staff workslike they have a lead boots on. And over 40 minutes for each order. Read more

I really hate doing this but this was on a new level of terrible service. I felt like I was watching the movie idiocracry. I... placed my order at the kiosk and waited for an hour. Another two people walked in and got there food within 5 minutes ofordering. I voiced my concern and they literally had no answer as to why it was taking so long. 5 minutes later another employeewalked out and said they had no tortillas. 10 young employees walking around the kitchen so slow they were moving in reverse. Nomanagement in site. It took another 10 minutes to get a refund. We used to frequent the surprise location regularly because thelayout was great and you moved through the line quickly. This location is so small. You have to enter your order on a kiosk then watch the monitor for it to be "ready to pick up" there... is almost no room for sit down eating. This area is growing too quickly to cut corners like this. Bad idea, upper management.BAD. Read more
